Anyone have more info on what exactly this update adds/fixes? I’m crossing my fingers for AirTunes!
doesnt fix my front row not being able to access the internet :s
Does not fix the ability to see preview art on remote macs (e.g., mac mini hooked to tv). This is a nagging problem that needs to be addressed by Apple….

Remember when you could switch between iTunes and Front Row without stopping the music? I wonder why they cut that feature in Leopard.
Indeed.
I’ve always thought that was a bummer that the artwork didn’t show up on the big screen and all that my Mini is hooked up to streaming all the music from a “Source” being the iTunes library on a “big” computer.
Does anyone know if this is the case with an Apple TV that’s streaming, not sync’d, to another iTunes library?
AppleTV pulls the artwork when streaming from a computer.
@ Mark
While I too would like to have ability to see preview art on remote macs, “fixing” a feature that does not, nor ever has existed seems like a silly thing to ask.
Perhaps the discussion boards would be more productive (and seem less whiny) if, instead, they were to ask Apple to add this ability to their software?
Is this Front Row update Leopard only? It does not come up in software update for me — running Tiger.
Also Tiger related: Anyone know if rented movies show up on Front Row with this update?
Actually the streaming artwork works on FR 1+ (Tiger)
and yes this is just for Leopard as it is a FR 2 update.
Anyone know if Frontrow can finally play Music Video Playlists? iPods can do it, iTunes can do it, but Frontrow can’t, and it’s annoying.
When can we use FrontRow to rent and watch movies? Like an AppleTV without the TV.
@GizmoDan,
Wouldn’t that just be an Apple?
Artwork streaming works on Apple TV but NOT Macs used for TV output – though it USE to work on these Macs when running 10.4 (may still work but I’ve updated all to 10.5). This was a feature present from day one with Front Row but has been lost in 10.5.

The screwed up with 10.5, as Front Row functioned better before they screwed it up to make it look like Apple TV. Not just looks- functionality.
