Adobe: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard users should update Flash Player

Adobe has announced that the initial release of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard includes an earlier version of Adobe Flash Player than what is available from Adobe.com.

Adobe recommends all users of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and Flash Player update to the latest, most secure version of Flash Player (10.0.32.18).

Flash Player (10.0.32.18) is available for download from http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer.

  1. I seem to often hit Web sites with flash animations that don’t display properly. For example, the site for Kia vehicles just shows up blank in both Safari and Firefox. Is that a bug affecting Flash Player on the Mac OS?

wow all my time ‘wasted’ on MDN suddenly feels justified…..i love you…i am in love with this click2flash. how long has this been around? nevermind. as a bonus, it lets you download youtube h.264 vids! not bad.

  3. You’ve always been able to download youtube videos using safari and osx. Just open the activities window while a video buffers, looke for the largest file size, copy the url, then paste it into the downloads window. Voila! The video will download to your desktop or downloads folder.

  4. I TRULY HATE COMPANIES THAT TRY TO FORCE THEIR WEB PAGE VISITORS TO USE FLASH.

    Chipotle I’m looking at you!

If you can’t make your webpage in pure HTML at least as an option, then don’t make a web page at all.

Haha. But actually, the Kia Soul has gotten good reviews from car writers. So has the new Forte. Hyundai owns Kia and both brands have grown up and away from their original reputations. Decent warranties, too.

I’m not planning to buy right at this moment. But it doesn’t cost anything to read about what’s on the market.

  6. The beauty of Clicktoflash is that it even makes MDN snappy. I am actually able to run my ancient G4 Cube with Safari 4 and not go crazy with endless “loading” BS. I can say that it saved my beautiful Cube from the dumpster. Very nice

  7. Pity Flash is a necessary evil – still cranks the fans on my MacBook every time I load a flash site even under Snow Leopard – is this the best Adobe can do?

    Cheers.

    P.S.

I love Click2Flash – it has made browsing so much more enjoyable – almost like when the web was young!
