I live in the UK, and I tried an iPhone for the first time today, in an Apple Store.

Smaller than I thought I though they'd be slightly bigger. It's a great machine! Wish I could have taken one home with me

I didn't do well with the on-screen keyboard, while using Safari & youtube. My fingers seem to be to wide

Crazy. How will Apple ever be able to meet demand?

By the way, you live in the best state I know of. I love Vermont. I don't quite know what the point is of having a cell phone in Vermont is however. In the central portion of the state--the loveliest part I know of--the terrain is so hilly that no amount of cell towers are going to get you service.

I love VT too. I grew up here and when I was young, I couldn't wait to leave because it was the most boring place on the face of the earth. So, I moved to Boston and lived there for 20 years. I finally got sick of city life and realized that VT wasn't such a bad place after all, so I moved back.

You are correct about cell coverage in the central part of the state. I had to go to a funeral on the other side of the state last weekend and coverage was bad. Fortunately, I live in the eastern part of the state that borders NH and I get excellent coverage.

Now all I need is an iPhone and VT will be HEAVEN!

It's not your imagination; they really ARE smaller. There is only so much material available to make iPhones, so Apple is making them smaller in order to make more.

If the demand keeps up, by next month they will be the size of an iPod Shuffle. You'd better put those chubby digits of yours on a diet. Try the one Steve uses.
