I hope that PC dog is spayed or neutered. I'd hate to think that there will be a bunch of unwanted PC puppies running around in a couple of months.

But with how well the Mac is selling lately, I guess that is going to happen any way.

On Apple's site? Yes - just go to http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/

May 21, 08 - 09:16 am Comment from: Jersey_Trader

I watched it twice and it left me with a smile. I wish the lip sink was better. But, I would love it as a iTunes song too!

The dog is great.

They need to work on a group of Blackberry adds and start crushing that berry!

Its that fabulous moment when the dog looks up at Mac - Mac looks back at him and shrugs his shoulders.... just sublime genius.

May 21, 08 - 09:42 am Comment from: Demon

I love the hound dog.

MDN Word = southern

May 21, 08 - 09:44 am Comment from: Bartsimpsonhead

"Its that fabulous moment when the dog looks up at Mac - Mac looks back at him and shrugs his shoulders.... just sublime genius."

agreed, that is the finest moment in what is a pretty damn funny ad.....

May 21, 08 - 10:15 am Comment from: JAYGEE

Could be worse. It could be Apple-Alt-Esc wink

May 21, 08 - 10:44 am Comment from: Crabs

The dog totally made it.

JAYGEE, I think you must mean COMMAND-Alt-Esc...

May 21, 08 - 10:50 am Comment from: bioness

is the dog: Linux?

May 21, 08 - 10:58 am Comment from: coolfactor

Crabs, I think you must mean Command-Option-Esc.

May 21, 08 - 11:09 am Comment from: JAYGEE

@ Crabs - I think you must mean COMMAND-Alt-Esc...

Yeah, but it has an Apple logo on it, so I call it the Apple button smile

I love how you hear music (mainly a guitar) but PC isn't playing.

"I love how you hear music (mainly a guitar) but PC isn't playing."

Sadly, PCs can't play guitar

May 21, 08 - 02:31 pm Comment from: 84 Mac Guy

Outstanding!

I am emailing it to all my co-workers in our Windows-only office. I figure when IT wants to give them a new computer with Vista they can start signing the the same song.

BTW, how sad it is that people in Windows-only offices need to fight to retain their ancient XP operating system so they can actually get some work done.

May 21, 08 - 04:27 pm Comment from: larryennis18466

The hound at the end is saying he wants to leave windows too.

May 21, 08 - 05:05 pm Comment from: Thorin

I have a funny feeling that this will be the final encore of this ad campaign. Changes are afoot.

May 21, 08 - 08:48 pm Comment from: nobodi

Both versions are good on more than one level.

Anyone notice that the icon for GarageBand is nearly identical to the guitar PC is holding, but never plays?

May 21, 08 - 08:49 pm Comment from: Bennish

Err... guys, am I the only one who cringes for this ad? It's even sillier than a lot of the others. Or maybe it's just that I hate country music? It's just bloody annoying.

What happened to good old ones from 2006 where they actually pointed out the advantages of the Mac itself, rather than "Blah blah Vista blah Vista blah blah Vista blah Vista"?

May 21, 08 - 08:52 pm Comment from: nobodi

" "I love how you hear music (mainly a guitar) but PC isn't playing."

Sadly, PCs can't play guitar."

That's because PC can't run GarageBand.

May 22, 08 - 08:47 am Comment from: Steve

This is so funny and very well done. It is very naughty of course and Apple will go to hell because of it, but we will all be laughing as we go.

A slight observation on the song. The "control, alt. delete" phrase needs an extra word - perhaps "and delete" (that's why the singer has to draw out the word delete).
Also they should have just given the video another three or four seconds and got the singer to repeat the last line and then end the song on a couple of notes on the pedal steel...and that's Country!
