  1. I think the required phrase is Woo-Hoo!!!

    Cheaper than I thought it was going to be too ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />

  2. The happening in the London is now over.
So have to wait till october. Darn.
I wonder why they did not release that one more thing today?
What else is coming? Oh well. WWDC will tell.

  3. According to promotional material being sent to shops in time for today’s launch, the first European territories to get the company’s hotly awaited service will be the UK and Ireland and three Scandinavian countries Denmark, Finland and Norway.

One Guy from Finland, have you tried accessing the store? Can’t get in from UK (dialup) ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />

  4. Gandalf,

The Guardian’s piece is a crock of shit, made up article. The iTunes Music Stre has been launched in UK, France, and Germany – with “the rest of Europe” (whatever that means) coming in October 2004.

  5. Only 3 countries now… UK, Germany and France. This was predicted since last week. Others coming in October according to SJ. Cannot access UK store from U.S. yet. Still doesn’t seem to be up.

  6. It’s amazing how many people around the world are eagerley anticipating the iTMS to be available to them. This just goes to show, that if Apple could make all their products and services to people globally, that they could definately begin to be a perceived force to contend with. Apple is a relatively small company, and it’s been my long standing opinion that as a company, Apple does very well for themselves. Many analysts say their mac sales are suffering and the iPod will keep them afloat, but we’re not talking about the global PC share as whole (in which case Apple has a very small cut). We’re talking about a company’s sales, and Apple does well. If they could just offer all their products to everywhere in the EU, Asia, Australia, etc, they would have a bigger slice of the pie.

  7. For those of you worrying about the release of iPods within Canada please don’t worry. The release is planned once the United Hates decides to invade Canada for its water (once Bush has secured the next election of course).

  8. That sounds like a pretty good price to start with ( + VAT of course)

The prices are VAT inclusive – what you see is what you pay.

I have half a dozen tracks already and it all seems pretty smooth – the way you expect the Apple experience to be.
