Apple launches online Apple Store Philippines
Tuesday, November 11, 2008 - 12:24 PM EST

"Apple Online Store has been officially launched in the Philippines. I’m excited. Now I no longer have to leave the comfort of my home to buy Apple products. A move like this points to a great future for online purchasing and delivery in the Philippines. With orders above P3,000, delivery is free," Jayvee Fernandez reports for A Bugged Life.

"The Apple Online Store brings something else on the table - competition. Now we have a benchmark as to how much an Apple product can cost vis a vis the other official and unoffical distributors (hehe)," Fernandez reports.

Full article - which also asks "what happend to loacl distributors?" - here.

Apple Store Philipines is store.apple.com/ph/.

good to have you in PI, Apple. This will now force the Apple resellers here to do better business.

The Philippines is a great place with wonderful people.

apple should get their priorities straight. no iphone in the ukraine (50 million people) and no online store in russia (130 million people) with average income between $300 and $500 and a middle class in the millions apple should target these countries first in my mind.

Couldn't agree with you more Mark S. a great country with terrific people. An Apple store there would be a good excuse to go there again. Although I have been in a couple very good resellers in Manila.

Great! I'm so happy for the Philippines. Hopefully, I'll be able to go there soon. My Tagalog is weak now because I don't have anyone to speak with.

> walang address system sa philippines

You're kidding, of course. Anyway, it must be good for the balance sheet. Y'know - what comes out after eating the balance. MW: deep, as in deep sheet.

And Apple has launched online APPLE STORE INDONESIA, too!

Well what do you know, MW= good!

Not only Philippines and Indonesia have the new online store, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam also launch their own online store.
I guess all of these stores are under operated by Apple South East Asia which is based in Singapore.
