Apple releases Apple Remote Desktop 3.2.2 Client and Admin

Apple today released Remote Desktop 3.2.2 Admin and Client.

Apple Remote Desktop 3.2.2 Admin updates the Remote Desktop application, which can be used to remotely administer Apple Remote Desktop clients.

Apple Remote Desktop 3.2.2 Client updates the software which enables Remote Management (enabled in the Sharing pane of System Preferences).

What's Included:
• Improved reliability with the Copy Items command.
• Upgrade Client Software command now uses unicast packets for improved reliability on some networks.
• Fixes to the Force Quit All Applications and Copy Items to Computer Automator actions.

No. Just screen sharing and that only uses VNC.

Why not try Log Me In? It is free and works great! It has vastly improved itself in the last year and is definitely worth the look... http://www.logmein.com I use it for the office as well as for private purposes. One can even set up group log in ids and manage computer groups. Really useful.

Just go to "Connect to Server..." and enter:

vnc://your.firends.ip.address

(allow for firewalls and routers, of course)

you guys can use ichat screen sharing to fix computers not on your network. i use it all the time for family and friends. and it works well.
