Anyone know is the iWeb FTP update fixes the issue with iWeb only publishing to a sub folder on the FTP site?

Toasty... Don't know about that. I sure hope so. There was also a problem with some of us where the podcast was published to a sub folder in the RSS file, but not on the local HD or at MobleMe. In doing this it crashed the podcast at iTunes. Itunes could see the podcast, but couldn't download or play them.

just installed the update and did a test by making a small adjustment to one of the podcast and then published. Looks like it still isn't fixed.

iWeb's podcast rss file adds one extra sub folder in the url that it records inside the file, but the actual file/folder path is correct.

If anyone else has this issue, the work around I came up with is to add a folder to your website on your server. Name it the one that your RSS file is looking for, and put it at the location it wants it in. (You can open your RSS file with text edit)

When you FTP all of your files to your site, do a second manual upload of just your podcast folder to this folder. Then add a "Media" folder in that same location and point it to your correct "Media" in the home folder of your website. (this way you don't have to upload all of your media files a second time.

Once you do this, iTunes will see your podcast and your artwork again.

I really hope this fixes the issue with iweb not being able to publish to outside FTP servers.

I wish they'd put an option in to export to YouTube HD!

I want to let you know that the last update has crippled iweb on thousands of computers. You just have to take a look at the Apple forums. Apple has not yet issued any warning or patch. I hope they will soon. Many think it's another issue related to mobileme.
