The iWeb update has (finally) FIXED the problems with FireFox3 not being able to display photo galleries and slideshows published via iWeb. (As soon as these updates came out, that was the first possible fix that came to mind). Just run the updated iWeb and republish the pages on your sites! (Then prove to yourself that this works by browsing to your republished sites using FireFox3).

Why does Apple take a minimalist approach when releasing these types of updates. They must think they're talking to a Windows crowd.

NICE TT.... I hadn't heard that song in ages...

Any podcasting iWebbers check to see if your podcasts stay .mp3's now instead of becoming .mov's?

Also, I found a quicker way to import movie files into iMovie HD for those of us still using it.

Option click on a iMovie HD file, open the movie folder, drag your movie files into this folder, close the window, and open the iMovie HD file by clicking on it twice.

When IMHD tells you that it has found stray files in the trash and asks if you would like to open the trash, click OK. Then drag the files from the trash window to the clips window area, and away you go.

I imported 2 hours of vid footage in about 3 min.

should have read...

"Option click on a iMovie HD file, select show package contents, then open the movie folder..."

Thanks, Jim. I am waiting patiently for the re-release of 'Tejas', along with 'First Album' and 'Rio Grande Mud' that restores them to their pristine and bluesy original sound.

They have already made 'Tres Hombrés' and 'Fandango' sound just as "nasty and funky" as when they were recorded to vinyl.

'Degüello', fortunately, was never butchered in the transition to digital.

Oh, those daze when ZZ was still Tops.....

I'm still looking for iTunes 7.7.1.

Has anyone else had problems syncing large libraries with 7.7?

I was getting the spinning beach ball for 30 to 40 minutes every time I tried to sync or add content to my Classic 160 iPod. The only known "fix" is to create a new library, a huge hassle when you've got 16,000 songs, 40 gigs of video and dozens of playlists. I was able to downgrade to 7.6.2 which was not too difficult and only required minor repairs. But there are people out there with iPhone 3Gs that are having to deal with this issue, many of whom are also new to the Mac. They are not happy.

@trex67,

I have an iPod 160 Classic, to which I routinely sync 12,800 songs at least twice a week (via a 3.06Ghz iMac). Absolutely no problems here; takes about 5 minutes to check entire library and add/remove/modify a couple of hundred at a time, if necessary.

Not sure what problems you're having, but let me recommend a "factory restore" on your Pod at your earliest convenience. The procedure saved me a whole bunch of troubleshooting steps awhile back, and all has been well since.

Greeting card templates built into iPhoto? Could this be the reason for doing away with iCards? That makes sense.

Ah, yes, I see I'm not the only one who has absolutely horrified to hear the "modernized" ZZ Top, released to CD and bastardized with huge drum sounds, heavy gated reverb, and liner notes claiming that this was they way these things "should have" sounded in the first place. Ugh. "La Grange" from the "ZZ Top 6 Pack" is unlistenable in this form with its giant "drums in an echo chamber" ... ok I'll shut up now. Glad to get that off my chest.

Oh, almost forgot the topic... let's just say I'm thinking Snapperific!

New holiday cards in dot-release means that iLife '09 won't be released in August as was last version. So at least half a year more waiting for feature complete iMovie.

Jul 23, 08 - 07:09 am Comment from: Wrong Again

I'd read the problem with the spinning beach ball was due to the .itl file being altered by some other app (one app that alters it incorrectly is LimeWire).

The ugly bug of bad DV video quality has still not been fixed.

Anyone else find it amusing that software on your computer is getting "iLife Support 8.3". Oh, the horrors! My software is going on iLife Support!!!
