Apple releases iPod 1.0.1 firmware update; improves UI speed in new iPod classic, nano

The description merely says 'bug fixes,' but we have received many reports that it improves vastly UI responsiveness," Jacqui Cheng reports for Ars Technica."This is a major update, in our mind, as it improves one of the greatest pitfalls of the new iPod classics... The firmware update also applies to 3G iPod nanos, which also appears to improve the (less noticeable) lagginess," Cheng reports.
