Great!!
nice! can I install this on my Windows PC if it has an Intel chip?
Huzzah! Maybe now I won’t see that blasted beach ball so often! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”mad” style=”border:0;” />
Mounting Windows shares on my network works now. i like this update.
Installed on a PB G4 15 (1.25GHz) and remotely via ssh (softwareupdate -i) on a dual G5 2.3. No problems.
d00d!
I just ran an XBench, and the Quartz text rendering is about three times faster now – even faster than 10.4.1 was when I enabled Quartz 2D Extreme.
god i can’t wait to get home and install this update on my emac and 12″pb 1.5 ghz. why do i have to be at work?! oh yeah, to get a paycheck to pay for my powerbook. blah!!! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />
This is really cool. But you cant open a widget without installing it. It makes it harder to develop without your widget in your desktop. Oh well. The widget maneger is way cool.
Hallelujah! 10.4 is finally complete!
Hmm.Lets call it…Service Release 2 for OS X Service Pack 4…W.O.W.
Yeeeeaaaaaaaaayyyyy!!!
(who cares?)
Why do I feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

I love the smell of Tiger updates in the evening… smells like… victory!
Well, damn. My one & only must-have fix didn’t get fixed. Still cannot choose Eject (either from the Finder menu or the volume’s contextual menu) for an internal non-boot hard drive. In every version up to Tiger, this was available. WHY did they remove this???? I’m ticked.
Right there with ya, “i love updates” – the good folks at work (where I also have a Mac, thankfully) might also be more willing to let us upgrade more quickly now that SMB is working properly!
Re: Wingsy
Just click the drive then click Command+E
Much easier in my opinion.
Why would you want to Eject an internal, non-boot hard drive? Got some porn on there you don’t want your wife seeing? Or some kiddie porn? Or stolen secret plans for the Death Star?
SAFARI is REALLY quick now! Nice update to this browser I tell ya..
Favicons fixed in Safari. I love this update.
Forgot to mention that 10.4.2 not only taste great, it is also less filling!

I get more miles per gallon now and my gas don’t smell as bad now!
Good update!
My mac is alot more responsive after the update. I don’t get the beach ball anymore when printing to network printers. Yay! Also, quartz does seem alot faster. Genie effect, Expose, and Dashboard transition is a ton smoother.
Man, this update is what Tiger should have been all along. My dual 2 GHz G5 (1st generation) is WAY faster. Safari esepcially!
Good job Apple!
Hey – now I can use iTunes playlist items in Automator without it constantly re-cataloging my music library. I finally get to use Automator!
Since I downloaded somthings up with TV Tracker widget. I cant get any chanals. Idk if its 10.4.2 or the widget. Help Please.
