Apple releases MacBook Pro Graphics Firmware Update 1.0

Apple today released MacBook Pro Graphics Firmware Update 1.0.

This firmware update is recommended for all 17-inch MacBook Pro (Early 2009) users and addresses the appearance of vertical lines or distorted graphics on the notebook display.

There are two parts to this process:
1. Installing the firmware update application onto your hard drive.
2. Using the firmware update application to update your graphics subsystem firmware.

Truth be told, I just installed this on my early 2008 Mac Pro, and now Safari is waaaaaaaay snappier!!! THANKS APPLE!

okay, okay, i installed it on my LC II, and it bombed and rebooted system 7.6 with extensions disabled! but then my extensions manager was MUCH snappier! and it was able to see more than 10mb of RAM! go apple!
