Apple shareholders re-elect board, vote no on several resolutions [updated]

"Shareholders of Apple Inc. voted to re-elect the company's slate of directors and also voted down several shareholder-sponsored resolutions regarding executive pay, sustainability and healthcare reform," Dan Gallagher reports for MarketWatch.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs "is on medical leave and was not at the event," Gallagher reports.

"Shareholders also declined to pass several shareholder-sponsored resolutions," Gallagher reports.

If it's like normal, it's usually some whacko, agenda based nonsense like...."In order to prove that Apple is a true leader, it is proposed that 50% of all future profits go to Greenpeace to protect our dying planet".
