Apple Store Pheasant Lane ‘coming soon’ to tax-free Nashua, NH
Saturday, July 18, 2009 - 11:28 AM EST

The Pheasant Lane Mall is a two level super-regional mall located in tax-free Nashua, New Hampshire, located off of Route 3, on the Massachusetts/New Hampshire border.

MacDailyNews Take: New Hampshire's state motto is: Live free or die. It's also where taxachusetts goes to shop.

The malls' website now features an "Apple Computer" [sic] link with the words "COMING SOON!." Clicking that link reveals:
At the Apple Store you can experience the complete line of Macintosh computers and an amazing array of digital cameras, camcorders, the entire iPod family and more. Whether you’re a long-time Mac user or just getting started, the Apple Store is the best place to learn about the Mac. Come to our free interactive workshops and meet Mac specialists who demonstrate products, answer your questions and provide technical service and support.

According to the map provided by the mall, the Apple Store will be located on the lower level near Macy's.

The 1,000,000 square foot mall opened in 1986 and attracts over 10 million customer annually. The mall is anchored by Sears, JCPenney, Target, and Macy's and features over 130 specialty stores and a 13-unit Food Court.

Address:
310 Daniel Webster Highway
Nashua, NH 03060

According to MacDailyNews reader "Tep," the store is currently surrounded by the now-familiar construction barricades with the Apple logo.

If anyone in Nashua, NH's Pheasant Lane Mall has their iPhone handy, please snap us a photo or two and email them to . Thank you in advance.

Sweeet! Now, I can avoid the drive to Salem.

Is it possible that this is Apple's reaction to Massachusetts sales tax increasing to 6.25%?

Maybe now Deval and the legislature will see some of the pain their lack of spending control is going to cause.

Don't let Obama hear there is a place that they can't tax. They have GREAT SPENDING plans coming. We ALL have to be taxed anothe 20%b more for Obama's great plan. We must follow this "plan" He is the one to follow, for he is knowing. So is Nancy!

@ Steve,

Both sides suck. It is a fact that whatever party your choose, you have choosen the wrong one. Just go back to work already. If you are working, get a second job. If you have a second job quit drinking so much alcohol and start cleaning up your credit so you can take on some more debt.

Quit looking for the government to help you better your life. It is your job to better your life.

To anyone thinking of something smart or politically clever to come back with, don't. Clever isn't something politicians and people who concern themselves with politics are known for. Stick to your finger pointing. That goes for you elephants and you donkeys.

It's kind of pathetic how MDN conspicuously injects its conservative rhetoric into Apple news as if they have anything to do with each other. Especially considering how open-minded and progressive the culture at Apple is. I don't think most of your views would would win any popularity contests with Steve Jobs.

I don't like both sides, they are both full of crap with all their pork. BUT, the liberal side has it Bush hates are so freakin viral and so radical. I feel the Right needs some input when the freaky wako left has someone in power that is FAILING, just like Bush did. I have to see and hear the hatred to the Right side. You are going to hear me bash the left side's failing too. Get over it! Do you piss and moan when you see Right side "Hate" signatures on forum boards? Start whining to your waked out side before you piss and moan at me.

I will need that second job because this new guy needs to stop spending money like a clueless idiot. I didn't like Bush ,but I would rather have him back before this Obama "clown" and his ilk bankrupts our country.

Consider this post an Obama red circle with a slash in it, you have seen them before, Right? Do just like I have to do, look at it and move on!

I live nearby- I'll have to check it out. In the meantime- I'll be enjoying the stimulus plan Gov. Patrick has provided us NH residents.

There's a saying around here... "Make it Massachusetts, Spend it in New Hampshire." Problem is- the Massholes that move up here, start voting the same way they did when they lived in Mass. We have an NH politician- Jean Shaheen- the Tax Queen-- an Obamian disciple, who thinks it's a great idea for NH to have a sales tax. Apparently she has never driven through the Pheasant Lane Mall parking lot. All you see is Mass plates-

Anyway- I'll see if I can get some pics of the progress. This is great news. The Salem store has service "issues". In fact- I buy all my major purchases from the online store.

I live in Nashua. I practically dropped my computer when I read that and went off to Pheasant Lane Mall to check it out myself. Yup. It's going to be on the ground floor, between Abercrombie & Fitch on one side, and (I believe) Express Limited on the other. It's going to be a very wide storefront, probably in keeping with the Burlington, Mass. location.

And yes, I'm very happy that Gov. Patrick in Mass. has raised the sales tax to 6.25%. That will encourage a whole bunch more people to shop up here!

US = Mexico : Enjoy living in your fancy houses behind big walls with machine guns. But hey, at least you don't have to pay those nasty taxes and be around the little people.

I really don't like politics nor the politicos. But, honestly, no one with the true ability to run this country properly will ever try for Office. The way the two sides conspire to run everyone thru the muck before election time is ridiculous and sad. There are many people who could run this country much better.

May God bless America still.

Jul 19, 09 - 05:34 pm Comment from: jarrettdailynews

@ Everyone,

Plenty of people run this country. Thank goodness for us none of them are politicians. We run this country. Those of us who work, or work two jobs or work two jobs and invest or work two jobs invest and steal. We are the runners of a free society. They are just the ones who put up many road blocks ( Jobs for the unmotivated ) to detour us on our way to wealth.

ATTENTION: Those of you who don't understand the governments role in society. They pass legislation so to create new industries.

For one, Healthcare. We create and then treat illness. If you people don't get sick, no one can make money treating you back to good health.

So keep wasting your time following politics, it gives me a leg up on wealth before you.

I'm curious… How many oases of tax free shopping exist in the U.S? I've heard of duty-free stuff, but that always seemed to be "across-the-border".

As for policy, I think it would work the best to tax consumption, not income; encourage people to make more, and spend less.

Jul 20, 09 - 08:24 am Comment from: @@Steve

No, you're clueless.

Obama is a commie.

Jul 20, 09 - 10:10 am Comment from: iLuvMyMacs

@HazMatt

Being taxed on what you spend as apposed to what you earn simply makes too much sense. This is where we need to go- the current tax system is outdated by about 150years. We practically have the infrastructure in place to completely revise how we access and collect taxes. Do you realize if everyone actually paid their fair share of income taxes- we would only have to forfeit about 5% of our income. That's right five percent. The best / ONLY way to collect the fair amount of tax is to get it at the point of sale.

It's going to take true leadership to make this fly nationally. Unfortunately - there isn;t a politician alive that could balance a checkbook.

besides coming soon do we know when the Apple store is coming to Nashua, N.H.?

Nov 06, 09 - 01:49 pm Comment from: Craig Neth

I was just in the Salem store and an employee there told me he had just spent the last four days training people at the Nashua store. He didn't have a date but it has to be real soon now....
