Now why will Apple’s UK store give away 1,100 t-shirts, but the US stores only give away a 1,000?

  1. “Now why will Apple’s UK store give away 1,100 t-shirts, but the US stores only give away a 1,000?”

    “It’s the exchange rate.”

No, no no, they wear a metric unit shirt in the UK. Thats’s why it adds up to more.

  2. No – you’re all wrong.

They just use a fixed amount of cloth for each launch.

The amount of cloth needed for 1,000 shirts to fit Americans will make 1,100 shirts for Europeans ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />

Apparently not in Houston, Texas, fattest city per capita in the U.S.

“Ugh. I can actually HEAR you getting fatter.”

  4. This sounds like great news at face value. However we have an Apple Reseller in Manchester. I used to work for ‘GBM Apple Centre Manchester’
http://www.applemanchester.com for 6 years before moving to work for an Apple Centre here in Texas. GBM has a great retail store and this competition from Apple can only harm them. They spent a lot of money making a great looking and well stocked Apple Store. These guys were here before Apple graced us with a store in this area. I hope you guys will try them out. I no longer work for them but can vouch they are a great and professional company, they have been in Manchester for many many years. By all means go and visit the New Apple Centre, but don’t forget about this company. If you have never visited them, give them a try.
Tell them an ex employee ‘Dave Andrews’, now in Texas, sent you. I sure miss those guys, it was a great team of people, all living and breathing the Apple dream. Nostalgic tears in my eyes, I’ll sign off!
    ya’ll give them a try now, ya here ! ! !

  5. Just got back from the Trafford Centre opening, I got there at 8:15 and there was only about 100 people in front of me in the queue. The opening was a lot of fun and I don’t think I’ve seen so many white earbuds in one place!

    Anyway…

For all of you that couldn’t make it or curious here are a number of photo’s that I took while I was there.
