Apple will celebrate the Grand Opening of their newest retail stores, Apple Store Bayshore, in Glendale, Wisconsin, and Apple Store Woodland Hills, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the same day that the company launches a little thing called “iPhone.”
To celebrate the Grand Openings, Apple will feature a week of exciting events. In the store, Apple plans to have a variety of unique and educational presentations, demonstrations and workshops — all free of charge.
In addition, the first 1000 people to visit the Apple Stores receive a free Apple t-shirt.

MacDailyNews Take: The scheduling of these Grand Openings for iDay is sadistic. Good luck, Apple Store Bayshore and Woodland Hills employees! You have our sympathies.
Why is Apple stock crashing today?
MW: It’s moving down, down, down!
@Eek
I sold at 125, after I had a $4000 profit in 5 weeks, enough to buy a new iMac plus other good stuff. Motto – Don’t be greedy.
Because with stocks you buy on the hype and you sell on the news, that’s why.
I believe it may be the news on ATT’s network. Or just selling for profit.
I hope this doesn’t affect my favorite mac reseller in Tulsa, MegaMacs. Good luck, guys!
Grand Opening and iPhone release. That is going to be insanity times 2.
Yay, Tulsa! It’s about time. Now my dad only has to drive 2 hours to Tulsa instead of 4 hours to KC or 6 to Dallas.
@Eek: AAPL is down 0.81% from yesterday’s close. That’s hardly “crashing” in my book!
Yeah, I’ve been waiting for the Bayshore store since I first heard the rumor over a year ago. Now there’s just no way I would head up there with the iPhone geeks all over it that night. But, I will check it out sometime in the near future because it’s a lot closer to me than the Mayfair store.
@BuriedCaear
Don’t forget Oklahoma City. I’m guessing you’re in the vicinity of Wichita, KS. I want to know why Tulsa can get a store before Wichita does. Maybe it’s due to the absence of a sufficiently upscale venue?
