Store opening is always good news.

But again in the States? Why Apple?
It'll be your 188 in that country alone.

In the rest of the world you have just 32 of them.
There should be at least 1 store per country.

Stores don't have to be as big as the 5th Av one.
They could be small boutiques too. Think different!

Sorry, but Altamonte is not the center of......well.......... anything. So its really neat to see an Apple store opening there.

And Orlando needs a 3rd Apple Store because? Tourists?

I'll stick with my local Apple authorized re-seller for now.

Actually this is great for those of us that live on the eastern or northern side of town. Now we don't have to go to the tourist mainstays where the other two Apple stores are located.

... and I'm still waiting for Washington, DC to get its first store.

There's a *lot* of money downtown, given the lawyers, professional associations, doctors, senior government officials, etc. And lots of young, college educated types already inclined to Apple. Why is the company passing on this opportunity?

It's hard to believe that the Orlando area will soon have three Apple stores. The two current stores have appeared to be almost packed every time I've been to either one but I think a significant part of their business is from tourists since both stores are on the south side of town thus nearer to the tourist attractions.

The Altamonte store will probably attract a much different clientele since it is on the north side of town away from the tourists and will probably attract mostly local residents. It will be interesting to see how much business they get compared to the other stores.
