Big deal, my beta iPhone has 80 GB. You can hotswap the flash ROM for a 1" disk drive. I thought everybody knew that.

While this could be a HD based model that Apple uses internally, I would guess that commercial iPhones will have flash memory.

Exactly, unless they've got some VooDoo flash memory that we don't know about. And a HD based iPhone would never get the kind of battery life they're talking about. If this is a mistake they'd better damn well fix it before the word gets out.

I think that someone inadvertantly put in a shot of an iPod screen instead of the iPhone screen. It's a mistake for which someone's head may roll since it could potentially cannibalize the market for the current offerings.

Of course it's real.
But they had to cut out the software upgrade progress bar screen shot that said it had 2,574,382,456 minutes remaining.

Umm ... take a look at the vid again .. it says 7.27GB in the Phone info even though it still shows that graphic on the bottom. Bug or photoshopped from an 80GB iPod.

better download the video while you can..my guess is that within the next few hours it will updated and a new version will be posted..minus the slipup.

The same screen that shows this also zooms out to show that at the top the iPhone reads as having a capacity of 8GB. Editing error. Nothing more...

I think they were using an 80GB iPod so that they could make it look like you can sync all your "music, tv shows, movies, podcasts, etc.." with no worries...

What will REALLY happen with the iPhone is that you'll be constantly choosing to have "a few playlists of songs, 6 podcasts and 1 movie" on there at any given time due to the limited storage..

The "that all doesn't fit on your iPhone" error message wouldn't have looked good in the demo video...

Anyone else notice that the 25-minute iPhone video tour host clearly stated the iPhone offers "16 applications," although there are currently only 12 application icons on the Home screen?

I just downloaded a new copy of the video and it's still there.

The only reason I'm NOT getting an iPhone is that I still would have to carry around my 80GB iPod. I got too much music, kids!

Plus, you can't use the iPod on the iPhone if you discontinue your ATT contract. -- THAT'S BS!

Apple is in fact introducing a 40G and a 80G iPhone! I think they forgot to take that out...but now that cat is out of the bag. Just wait and see...you'll see that Apple will announce today or tomorrow.

I don't think it was a typo, otherwise, only the capacity would read 74.40G while the rest of the numbers would NOT add to 74.40 G BUT THEY DO!!! It's understandable to make one error but to make the "video, audio, other, and free space" capacities all add up to 74.40G....I don't think so!

Maybe it's a surprise and the iPhones will be 40 and 80 gigs when they come out. That would be so awesome!!

Yup, I noticed that as well. I think that includes the 4 icons at the bottom, namely the four main apps.

Before the sync the numbers look correct (though small and harder to read).

He is comparing the iPhone to the 80GB iPod, when showing u how to sync movies. If u look at the top it still says 8GB iPhone with 1.0 software. Nothing special at all!!!

It was a simple editing mistake. The development iPhones have an 80 gig hard drive in them, but they are not the same as the production machines. It is nice to know that someday we may actually have 80 GB iPhones, but I doubt that it will happen on the first generation.

Super nice dream, but that would directly end any sale of any current iPod out there. That would be cannabalism suicide and end a product, not add a product.

The stock price currently just shows the fickleness and radical expectations of the PC sheep type investors out there with no faith.

You don't 'order' WiFi. It's a capability of the phone, and it's your option to find an open network.

Maybe there is more storage on an idisk which is why you need to have an apple ID.

Well there are slim 32Gb SSD's now & 65Gb SSD's ffrom Samsung also Sandisk & other's I saw something on 80Gb SSD, but forgot where!
