Apple has announced that the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2008, June 9-13, 2008, in San Francisco, is sold out.
You can still get all the great content from WWDC 2008. Session videos will be available to purchase on iTunes shortly after the conference. More details will be available soon. – Apple.com

[Thanks to MacDailyNews Reader “Mike in Helsinki” for the heads up.]
To the best of our knowledge, WWDC, running since 1983, has never sold out before.
Tickets remain copious for RIM’s “BlackBerry Developer Conference.”
No, I want to go I want to go, I want to go.
As a New Yorker, I feel it is my duty to start scapling tickets.
$5000/each or a loaded MacPro and 30″ CInema Display!
MDN Magic Word: seemed
As in: It seemed like a good idea at the time. Or, the Zune seemed to represent the cultural and moral abyss we face as Americans. Or, the lemmings seemed to move as a group, flowing like the tide, waving like crazed baseball fans at the stadium, lusting for that big hit that never came.
“I think we’re going to need a bigger boat…” comes to mind.
Was it the “first” reference or the implied expletive that got my post removed? I’ve been learned.
I can’t EVER remember WWDC selling out. Does anyone know? Is this a first?
Go Apple!
Yes, this is the first time in history that WWDC has sold out. That’s really cool!
What’s the sellout number? Anyone?
With the addition of the iPhone/iPod OS X Mobile platform, I’d imagine this will end up being a normal occurrence.
Steve516, Yeah, I’m gonnna scapple some also.
@Steve516
Have you priced a loaded Mac Pro lately… with all the memory and hard drives. It’s kind of a rush to do… knowing you are a click away from utter joy & financial ruin.
That is awesome. I wonder how many people bought tickets just to try and get in the keynote speech. I would buy a ticket just to hear Steve speak.
Just imagine if Hannah Montana was opening for Steve.
Bedlam or mayhem?
Do you remember Microsoft?
Quite amazing really, the guy who said that had only beamed back from 2012.
– : > learn the game before you really play
The future of Mac OS X as a desktop, laptop, and “mobile” platform couldn’t be brighter.
OK – I’ll say it first:
“Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers!”
Wait a sec… darn! Someone beat me to it:
Now that the WWDC is sold out, I guess we could go across the street to the Sony Metreon and check out the world’s only Microsoft Store. Oh, wait, its closed now… (1999-2001) Lets just go ride the old carousel next door at the Zeum instead. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”hmmm” style=”border:0;” />
@ The DataDude
“Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers!” is precisely wrong.
“People, People, People” is the yardstick, and not in quantity but in quality.
Forgive me if you were being facetious.
BTW understand the difference between power and control

OMG – no wonder they are having trouble. With antics like that in public, Ballmer is acting like a clown. That is no way for the CEO to act. Let the marketing guy act like that. Scary.
Great video – thanks for sharing!
MDN Magic Word – fear
I have no hopes. I have no fears. I am free!
Ok, my price has gone up. I just priced out a MacPro… I think I may need $20,000 for my WWDC ticket ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />
MDN Magic Word – food
As in: If I spend all my money on the ultimate Mac Pro machine, I may not have money left for food to eat.
I worked in Apple developer relations for three and a half years. WWDC has never sold out before.

What? Is Moscone Center now too small? We need a bigger place! Steve start looking!
This, I believe, suggests that there may be yet a more pronounced Tipping Point ® on its way.
Just sayin’.
I think they should have the next WWDC in boston, then I’d be able to attend it for once instead of having to fly out.
I actually missed the window, but have work offering to cover the ticket. Does anyone have a ticket they are willing to sell, or know somebody willing to sell a ticket?
Thanks!
