Apple’s 2009 proxy statement now online
Wednesday, January 07, 2009 - 04:47 PM EST

Apple today announced that its 2009 proxy materials are now available on the web under the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s Notice and Access rule and can be found at www.apple.com/investor. As a result of the Notice and Access rule, Apple is able to significantly reduce the environmental impact of producing and delivering printed materials.

Apple’s shareholders may still obtain a hard copy of the proxy materials free of charge by following the instructions provided on www.apple.com/investor or in the Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials that will be mailed to Apple’s shareholders as of December 29, 2008. Apple’s 2008 Form 10-K was filed on November 5, 2008 and may also be viewed at www.apple.com/investor.

Right-o.

Savings aren't really that great. A serious investor is going to print the statement for future reference.

Well at least online availability will not involve transport costs to all four corners of the world.

Every little bit helps ...

Why, exactly, would one need to print it for future reference? Why not an electronic copy saved onto your computer's hard drive, and backed up by something like Time Machine? A serious investor who is not technology illiterate sees no need for a lot of paper lying about.

where is my dividend for christs sake?
by feb 25th apple will have 30 billion on the bank. what do you want to do with it, steve? buy a big company? i don't think so, apple is all about focus. and don't tell me you need it to wheater the storm or buy small companies for new technologie. you may need 5 bn for that, not 30.
