  2. Let’s not use this as an excuse for ideological diatribes. Though MDN’s political leanings are clear, let’s simply treat this as Apple-related news since it’s important for Apple to remain up-to-date in the global marketplace. Magic Word is “try”, as in “try” to be civil!

  3. So do you think Bin Laden’s still rockin’ a PowerBook G4, or has he upgraded to Core 2 duo?

Maybe he has a Macbook Air, much cooler looking when cruising the internet cafes in Quetta. Poor bastard thinks he’s found lots of videos of camels on You Tube, but its just Ann Coulter…

  4. الله يبارك اولئك الذين يسعون الى السلام والتسامح الديني. محمد فعلت ذلك مع اليهود ، وبذلك يمكن لهذا الجيل مع المسيحيين والمسلمين واليهود والبوذيين.

“Let’s not use this as an excuse for ideological diatribes.”

I’m with you there. No incendiary comments … oops … “incendiary” bad choice of words there …

I’m all bucked up by this splendid news. Panic should help celebrate by producing a special Arabic-language version of Transmit with a camel icon instead of a little truck.

  6. Excellent. With the US dollar and economy in the toilet thanks to the Bush Administration’s laughable economic policies, Apple need to get their income from elsewhere.

  7. @Johan:

There are 1.3 billion Muslims in the world. That’s 1 in 5 people on the planet. I guess they are all enemies.

Only 300 million of those are Arabs. There are around 60 million Arabs that are not Muslims (predominantly Christians). I guess they should buy PCs.

The “free world” refers to what exactly? If you are referring to the USA as the free world, it would be an assumption that the remaining 5.9 billion people are either “not free” or somehow less relevant. I guess they should not be a market for computer products.

Perhaps Apple should decide that since its products are helping “them” fight us, that it should not export any products and keep it all in the “free world”.

Funny how you started your post with “some things [sic] I don’t understand”.

  8. “If there is any principle of the Constitution that more imperatively calls for attachment than any other it is the principle of free thought—not free thought for those who agree with us but freedom for the thought that we hate.”

  9. “God bless those who seek peace and religious tolerance. Muhammad did so with the Jews, and so can this generation with Christians, Muslims, Jews and Buddhists.”

Amen, brother… wish you would have said it in English, but I agree with your sentiment nonetheless. Let’s hope, you’re not in the minority amongst those who share your faith.

  10. @Johan

Do you know what country most of the world (including the so-called west) consider the greatest threat to global peace?

As to the topic at hand, considering Apple’s feel-good qualities, it has to be a step in the right direction ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />

  11. its funny to watch people insult, it is proven that those who insult other people feel inferior to those who they insult or are not secure for some reason, and it makes me laugh to see people hiding behind their PCs and talking all that hate speech
