Ars Technica reviews Apple’s new 5G iPod nano: Plethora of likable features
Thursday, September 17, 2009 - 01:32 PM EST"As expected, Apple introduced the next generation of its flash-based music player during the September 2009 iPod event, once again building on its current feature set," Jacqui Cheng and Clint Ecker report for Ars Technica.
"The major new feature of the fifth nano is the addition of a video camera. That alone could have probably justified the new device, but Apple went a few steps further, leveraging existing (but latent) capabilities already on the nano to add several other features. These include a full-featured FM tuner application, a pedometer, a Nike+ receiver, VoiceOver support, and a voice notes application," Cheng and Ecker report.
"The nano's video camera is not the best pocketable video camera on the market. The nano is, however, a very thin and light portable media player that is capable of taking good-enough SD videos for uploading to YouTube. Like the iPhone 3GS, you're not going to be shooting any award-winning documentaries on it, but when you already carry around an iPod, convenience often wins," Cheng and Ecker report. "When combined with the plethora of other features supported by the nano--music of course, video playback, Nike+, pedometer, Voice memos, and radio capabilities--there are certainly many things to like about this 8GB for $149 (or 16GB for $179 ) player."

At 149.00 and all the sweet goodies that comes with it, the sales will be out of this world. Oh yeah you can actually see the screen outside during daylight or bright rooms. Unlike that Zune HD ( Hilariously Dissappointimg ) POS that's useless in bright settings. You know like daylight! LOL
