Apple’s “iPhone can be a remarkable artists’ tool when put in skilled hands. Believe it or not, one artist named Jorge Colombo has used Apple’s handset to create a full-blown cover for a high-profile publication that is New Yorker Magazine,” Christian Zibreg reports for Geek.com.
“When you see the cover, it’s hard to believe that such a high-quality illustration can be produced on a tiny screen of a mobile phone but that’s exactly what Colombo did,” Zibreg reports.
“The urban legend has it that unsuspecting passers by probably thought a guy was checking email, whereas in fact Colombo has been busy drawing the cover for New Yorker using a nifty $4.99 drawing program called Brushes that lets you imitate different brush strokes on your iPhone’s screen using just your fingers,” Zibreg reports.
“The incredibly lifelike and undoubtedly artistic cover depicts a late-night gathering on a 42nd Street hot dog stand,” Zibreg reports.
