Monday, March 12, 2007 - 12:56 PM EDT

Aspyr Media, Inc. announced today that RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Soaked! has begun shipping for Macintosh. Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Soaked! licensed from Atari Interactive, Inc., is
the first expansion pack for Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and was developed for Mac by Aspyr Studios.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Soaked! brings a whole new range of options to the RolllerCoaster Tycoon 3 series as players select from more than 50 new rides and coasters, and use the all-new Swimming Pool and Waterfall Designers to easily create shimmering pools, waterfalls, whirlpools and wave machines.

Get ready for an entirely new Rollercoaster Tycoon experience… it’s wet, wild and totally soaked! For the first time, run your own water park – and ride all the rides – with this expansion to RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. Celebrate summer as hundreds of peeps (that’s RollerCoaster Tycoon talk for “guests”) catch rays and waves with an amazing lineup of super-splash flume rides, massive water slides, aquatic shows, beaches and more. Blast peeps with water cannons, build them outrageous coasters, and wow ‘em with laser light shows! Get drenched with this splashy summertime addition to one of the biggest games of the year.

Can anybody give a fair assessment of Roller Coaster Tycoon for Mac? I want to get it, but I would like to know how much they're supporting it.

I'm not a gamer...except for that PSP I bought this past weekend (first gaming machine since the original NES), so:

Does anyone know how long it took for this to be available since the PC version was released? 3 months?

Mar 12, 07 - 01:22 pm Comment from: G-Spank

The fact that this is news is depressing.

Mar 12, 07 - 01:26 pm Comment from: Mee

On the Atari website it says:

NOTICE: Intel integrated video chipsets are not supported.

What does this mean?

Mar 12, 07 - 01:53 pm Comment from: Thomas

@ Mee

It means no MacBook's or Mini's

Toooo Bad.

Is Aspyr pronounced...

A-spire, or Ass-per

I had always called it ass-per, but when I read it today, it hit me.. Aspire!

Mar 12, 07 - 03:18 pm Comment from: Jim - the independent voter

it could read "ass-pee-r"

Mar 12, 07 - 03:19 pm Comment from: Bill

It's [aspire]

Mar 12, 07 - 03:46 pm Comment from: Jasper

It's Jasper

Mar 12, 07 - 04:18 pm Comment from: Twisted Mac Freak

I thought it was "ass pyro" like a roommate I had in college.

Mar 12, 07 - 04:45 pm Comment from: Blue angel

Hey twisted, that was me. I still can't sit down...

@typhoon

I've had it for a couple of weeks and it runs great on my intel imac. Nice graphics, it integrates with with itunes and Aspyr has a universal update on their website. I find Aspyr's support to be pretty responsive when I've emailed them.

Mar 12, 07 - 06:59 pm Comment from: Twisted Mac Freak

Thought so, Blue Angel. Methane may be natural butt dangerous.

Mar 12, 07 - 07:00 pm Comment from: Twisted Mac Freak

Does RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Soaked! have a wet t-shirt contest feature?

Mar 30, 07 - 07:14 pm Comment from: william

I know it says it won't run on a MacBook, but does this mean it just won't run to its full potential? I really want to get it -- but I have a MacBook (w/ 2GB RAM, core 2 Duo)
