MacMall Holiday Sale"Apple is expected to bounce back with new iMacs at the start of 2009 and to launch the iPhone in China soon afterwards," Aidan Malley reports for AppleInsider.

"Analyst Ben Reitzes of Barclays Capital expects Apple to make the iMac one of its first updates in the new year as part of an effort to revitalize its lineup that will likely include the rest of its Mac desktops as well," Malley reports.

Reitzes also believes that the way [has been paved] for a launch in China by the mid-point of next year," Malley reports.

"Will the Mac Mini have FireWire?"

Probably not. And it won't have a matte screen either.

Would like to see the Mac mini TV/DVR in January. The AppleTV would become a secondary node to tap the main units entertainment at a second TV.

All the parts and features are developed now. It is time! Put a Mac mini TV/DVR in every home in the USA and world wide! Take another market now!

Would like to see the Mac mini TV/DVR...
Well as time goes on, and everyone gets hdtvs, I want Apple to sell me a keyboard with the computer inside it! It has to happen from someone.

Haven't Apple just refreshed the iMac line with aluminum and glass casing? I don't see Apple changing them for a little bit yet, aside from internally. Afterall, all Mac products now take cues from the iPhone.

And I still don't understand the obsession with 'mini MacPros'? What's lacking with the iMac and Mac mini?
