Another one bites the dust..

Shucks, I am sorry to see Creative go. After all, if they get to sue Microsoft for the file patent that Apple paid for, then Apple would get compensation.

I say go for it. grin Everyone else is sueing these days. grin

Where's Zune Tang? Oh, yeah. He was out helping Microsoft in developing the Zune Phone. Yes, it looks like the iPhone has met its match.

Here's a sneek peak.

The mighty Zune takes another one down. They might have had a chance if they had a 'Zen Marketplace' with a points system to acquire content like the Zune Marketplace has.

Apple, the Zune is coming after you next. It's not too late to institute a points system for the iTunes store and consider the color brown for those rumored turd nano's that might be here any day now.

Your potential. Our passion.™

I find the vitriol towards Creative a little extreme. I mean, they're making stuff for the iPod, and to me it looks kinda cool. So yay for Creative! Right?

Aug 24, 07 - 10:46 am Comment from: G Spank

Oh and by the way, Zune Tang rocks as well. Hilarious stuff.

Aug 24, 07 - 10:52 am Comment from: BustingTheSkullsOfIdiots

Again, how much money would it take to make you go away, Zune Tang? You've officially jumped the shark.

"August 31, 2007 will be the last day of trading for Creative Technology Ltd. Ordinary Shares on NASDAQ."

And on that day, I'll hold a glass of Guinness high in the air and thank the good Lord for giving us this wonderful day.

The rest of you can party your asses off.

OMG! ROFLMAO TSDMF

I'm laughing so hard, I can'8 ser t0 tyohpe. You've make my day buddy—without question, that is hands down, the funniest post I've read in weeks.

Keep up the good work!

Vitriol against Creative-
I think it's justified. The CEO was pretty vocal when Apple first introduced iPods and Shuffles. He was like Singapore's version of M. Dell.

Aug 24, 07 - 11:19 am Comment from: Mr. Peabody

Ok, this is what I've been waiting for: Now that Creative is making accessories for the iPod I'm going to start buying stock - in Creative.

Aug 24, 07 - 11:43 am Comment from: Follower

@Mr. Peabody - Me, too! But we'd better hurry, having only five business days left to do so.

(I have no idea what happens to stocks you own in a company that is then de-listed from your country's stock exchange. Is it anything like buying videos from Google's online store...?)

Aug 24, 07 - 11:52 am Comment from: SkullOfIdiot

You really know what's jumped the shark? Zune Tang, sure, but he or she is harmless.

What's really jumped the shark are the people who wrap themselves in the flag and tell everyone else they're unpatriotic and weak for questioning our government's actions for the past 6 years. How about that girl's moniker: 'BustingTheSkullsOfIdiots'? It carries that stupid Fox News jingoistic "my way or the highway, you're all stupid and spineless if you're not on board with President Cheney" divisive argument to it. Grow up and think girlfriend.

That jumped the shark for me in kindergarten.

So ironic that Creative went from a company that declared they would take major market share away from the iPod to a company that makes iPod accessories.

Did Uncle Steve give you a nice jar of Vaseline before he bent you over, Creative?

Aug 24, 07 - 01:18 pm Comment from: ByeTakeCare

What size is your skull Mr. SkullofIdiot? There must be a huge mass of idiotarianism in there. I'd like to purchase you a dunce cap but I don't know if they make 'em your size. Move to Cuba!!! Better yet...Darfur.

Aug 24, 07 - 02:06 pm Comment from: Jake

@SkullOfIdiot,
Nobody cares about your political hangups here. BSOI has been a regular on this site a lot longer than you, and he often makes insightful comments about Macs and Apple. Where do you get off criticizing his handle based on your dopey theories?
Just go hang out at Kos, or go have a good time w/yourself--oops, did I repeat myself?
MW: "french"--must resist, must resist...

Aug 24, 07 - 03:29 pm Comment from: Twisted Mac Freak

I would make a joke but I'm not feeling Creative.

Aug 24, 07 - 04:35 pm Comment from: Crabapple

Not being Creative by calling it the i50, What does the 50 stand for? Why not i85 as in the total weight or i80 as in max decibel?

The company formally called Creative is now called iSux or icopy!

Aug 24, 07 - 07:01 pm Comment from: LorD 1776

"The mighty Zune takes another one down." Ya gotta admit, that was pretty darn funny.

@GSpank: "I find the vitriol towards Creative a little extreme. I mean, they're making stuff for the iPod, and to me it looks kinda cool. So yay for Creative! Right?"

Sim Wong Hoo, the CEO of Creative, declared "war" on Apple in 2004. While he still hasn't unconditionally surrendered, he does seem to be capitulating. Let the champagne corks fly!

Aug 25, 07 - 11:58 am Comment from: Matte Screen User

Creative Tech, consider yourself officially flushed!!

By the way, rememeber that fancy 3D rendering card made by a company you bought (3DLabs) and then refused to support the Mac platform when we needed it?

Well I did, goodbye forever!!
