Construction photos of Apple’s 4th NYC Store
Tuesday, June 02, 2009 - 06:04 PM EST

"Apple recently confirmed that it's opening a fourth store in New York City this year," Dan Frommer reports for Silicon Alley Insider.

"The company hasn't announced where it is, but it's reportedly going to be at the corner of 67th and Broadway on Manhattan's Upper West Side, in the place of what used to be a Victoria's Secret," Frommer reports.

Check out the photos here.

That's two blocks north from the Metropolitan Opera, NY Philharmonic and NY State Opera, one block north from Julliard School of Music, and generally in an area with an affluent population and solid tourist traffic (not quite as solid the 5th Ave store, though).

UWS (Upper West Side) has been hoping for a store of their own for quite some time now. Nice going, Apple!

Upper West Side, baby!! That's where it's at... Got the 2/3, 1 train, Riverside Park, tons of restaurants.

Aw hell, Apple Stores are a dime a dozen, but losing a Victoria's Secret store is a damn dirty shame. cool mad

Not hard to guess what this crowd thinks is sexier - Victoria Secret models or the new iPhone.

Viewing Victoria Secret models on the new iPhone.

Excellent! Right in my neighborhood.
Now I can get a Mac fix on the way to the opera!

A couple of weeks ago I walked by and they were putting in steel girders.

If some of you doods wanna drool on a Victoria's Secret window, OR if you need some new panties to match those size 12 pumps, there's another VS further up Broadway.

Be careful "girls"... don't stand up too fast!

@Mr. Reeee,

Well, if you want your iPod in pink that's your business, but don't denigrate us just because we have a penchant for the jubblies. cheese

@predrag,

Enjoy it until the wealthy in NY (those making more than 60K / yr) get a farqin clue and move of of the state...

How's that 'Hope & Change' working out for ya?

MaWo: 'think'. As in, 'Please do...'

@Nutcracker:

WTF? What's wrong with you... not had your coffee this morning? You got the right moniker, that's for sure.

I earn quite a bit more than $60k [here in NYC] and I ain't wealthy I can tell you.

Maybe before flapping off at the mouth you'd check some facts. Zipcodes 10021, 10022 and 10024 [where this new store is located] are the wealthiest in the country — and co-incidentally the biggest contributors to the Democratic Party.

So back to the schoolyard, numbnuts...

Jun 03, 09 - 08:32 am Comment from: HueyLong

Oh, and just so you don't think I'm flapping off at the mouth, I was wrong. The top zipcodes in the '08 election were: 10021, 10022, 10023, 10024, 10028, 10128, 10019.

All in Manhattan. In total those top seven contributed over $65 million to Obama's campaign. Slightly more than 72% for the Democrats. Still don't believe me?

When is that Center City Philadelphia Apple Store going up now that Le Bec Fin is gone.

Jun 03, 09 - 01:15 pm Comment from: jonricmd

Somebody really missed a golden marketing opportunity! They should have combined stores! Genius bars might take on a whole new meaning! Instead of going in to buy iPod accessories, you could pick up other "accessories"!
