YUCK!… Dave showing us his licking prowess makes me feel for the female employees he f*cked. I hope that iPad was trashed! No amount of discount for refurbish is gonna make me want to buy it! Fortunately, I’m going with the 3G version that’s not out yet. But some unsuspecting person might get it, unless Dave gives it as a gift to the female employee he happens to be banging now.
Not one of the three links (including the direct link to YouTube) works in the MDN app or Safari Mobile with the iPhone, or iPad. MDN could have had the decency to at least mention that nothing works with the iPhone rather that have us keep trying everything.
I wonder how long it will take CBS to fix their broken web site once Dave (and other executives) realize that their site doesn’t work on their shinny new iPads.

I’m really upset with Apple. They used to ship Fedex, now they use UPS who do not have Saturday service in my area. Fedex does. So, guess what? I have to wait until the end of the day on Monday the 5th. for my iPad. … Had I known, I could have picked it up at the Apple store. Instant gratification is great – sometimes. AARRRGH! Get rid of this Flash crap, either that or support it.

I think it was a mistake giving Letterman the iPad. He did nothing but make fun of it, pretend that it froze, licked it! Disgusting. Lesson learned, I don’t think Letterman will get another chance with another Apple pre-release product.

Who’s David Lettermen and why should we care?
Letterman is funny, but more so, brilliantly entertaining. It’s not your Jaywalk jokes pandered to the lowest common denominators. Many current crop of comedians, including Jon Stewart et al. consider Dave to be a mad genius where even Carson, Paar couldn’t go. Dave doesn’t do Conan’s (or for that matter, The Simpsons’) self-deprecating humour shtick beaten to death over a decade of overuse.
He’s not sarcastic, he’s acerbic. He’s not there to make you feel comfortable with a chuckle for chuckle’s sake. A talk show played out in front of millions of people nightly, fronted by a genuine Mid-Western introvert with opinions. Some can see many of that same cut of self-contradictory traits in Jobs and many other icons in our lives.
David Letterman, he’s an acquired taste.

Re Letterman – in this venue, there’s no such thing as bad publicity. Apple reached an audience of approximately 4 million. That people could see the size of the device is a plus. Hearing iPad reinforces market recognition.

I am hearing stories of people that have been successful in contacting Apple and arranging an alternate delivery location on Saturday. If you can get it delivered elsewhere, I suggest giving that a shot.
