DirectVoxx unveils ‘muso’ voice control accessory for Apple iPhone, iPod

The "muso" from DirectVoxx is a pocket-sized accessory for the iPod and iPhone that allows users to access their music with natural voice commands. The Muso synchronizes with the user’s iTunes library directly on first use and requires no training to understand requests such as “Play me some Led Zepplin”, “How about some Rolling Stones”, “Gimme jazz” or “Go to My Broadway Tunes playlist”. Acting as the user’s personal DJ and creating dynamic playlists, the Muso also allows users to make requests such as “play me something like the last song.”
The muso is totally mobile and self-powered. The battery lasts for 10 hours under normal operating conditions, according to DirectVoxx.
The muso ships with a sync/charge cable and remote control allowing you to keep your iPod or iPhone in your pocket, backpack, ski jacket or wherever you choose.
The US$159 device will be available from Amazon.com in December 2008 and Best Buy January 2009. Pre-orders will be filled directly by DirectVoxx in December 2008.
