What a treat.

Dec 13, 07 - 09:21 am Comment from: I prefer CNN

On the plus side, it's nice to see that folks are tailoring their sites to the iPhone. Windows Mobile has been around for ages and I don't recollect seeing anyone going out of their way to make a Windows Mobile formatted site. grin

Dec 13, 07 - 09:22 am Comment from: hmmmm

Bad news. What?
They want to brainwash the iPhone users too?

Dec 13, 07 - 09:24 am Comment from: Macromancer

Nice to know we can get our propaganda in a bettter format.

Dec 13, 07 - 09:26 am Comment from: 84 Mac Guy

Sweet. Now I can watch Fox right-wing propaganda on my iPhone.

Dec 13, 07 - 09:26 am Comment from: Ampar

Just what I needed. A mobile platform to see and hear how Mike Huckabee is going to save the world.

Dec 13, 07 - 09:30 am Comment from: Ampar

I think I'll stick something more relevant and believable like mobile.theonion.com.

Dec 13, 07 - 09:30 am Comment from: Apple a Day

Do they really think we iPhone users are that dumb?

Dec 13, 07 - 09:30 am Comment from: Javester

Sugar-coated turd is still a turd....
They should change their name to Fox Propaganda rather than Fox News

Dec 13, 07 - 09:31 am Comment from: Ampar

"stick to something"

Yeah, one day editing would be nice.

Dec 13, 07 - 09:31 am Comment from: iff hello world

@Ampar
I think i agree that the world needs to be saved, but saved from people like Bush, Huckabee, O'Reilly Ahmadinajad (or whatever), Giuliani and the rest of the gang

Dec 13, 07 - 09:32 am Comment from: HolyMackerel

Looks really nice on the iTouch, esp the Jackass video article…

Dec 13, 07 - 09:32 am Comment from: Ampar

"Sugar-coated turd is still a turd...."

I think the same thing every time I hear a State of the Union Address.

Dec 13, 07 - 09:33 am Comment from: Ampar

To iff hello world:
I forgot to include a sarcasm tag. Please forgive me.

Dec 13, 07 - 09:33 am Comment from: Jesusphone

The world is following the phone. In the same way the landscape around the planet changed for the automobile and highways were built for the them, Apple has changed the world again.....cant wait till Feb and the SDK to see what the smallest computer in the world will be able to do. It is going to be ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!

Dec 13, 07 - 09:36 am Comment from: iff hello world

@Ampar
no no. I got you but i was elaborating on your point wink

Dec 13, 07 - 09:36 am Comment from: Tom Strong

Uh oh, here comes 100 posts from clueless liberals screaming about the end of civilization.

Hey, crybabies, go watch and read the 1000 other liberal propaganda outlets! Why can't conservatives have one?

Dec 13, 07 - 09:37 am Comment from: moenrj

Too bad Fox doesn't have a credible news organization. Perhaps the Cartoon Network would do this .

Dec 13, 07 - 09:44 am Comment from: Druggie Limbaugh

Finally, at last Pravda for the iphone! Heil Fueher Shrub!

Dec 13, 07 - 09:44 am Comment from: @Tom Strong

Dec 13, 07 - 09:46 am Comment from: Tranz4m

Too bad MSNBC, CNN, CNN Headline News, ABC, CBS, NBC, New York Times, LA Times doesn't have a credible news organization. Perhaps the Cartoon Network would do this. wink

I call that Thanksgiving dinner with the family. Good times.

Dec 13, 07 - 09:51 am Comment from: therepguy

But why would anyone in there right mind what FOX NEWS showing up on there iPhone?

Don't we as a nation get enough right wing, christian fascist propaganda without needing to encourage it ourselves!

Fox news needs to reeled in and brought under control!

Dec 13, 07 - 09:54 am Comment from: LibTard

God forbid (or add non religious reference) forbid any one have different views, ever notice LibTards HATE any one that doesnt follow their propanda and doctrine.? So much for free speech.

Liberalism is a mental disorder...... sheepish idiotic fools.

Global warming is a political movement ie Socialism.

How come the fact that the Antarctic ice sheet is larger and The Arctic ice being over an inch thicker earlier this year does not get any coverage..... ? Because it doesnt fit into the world Socialist Agenda.... We are all going to burn to death in a flood, just ask Al Gore, we'll swoop down in his private jet and his entourage in suv's with his $30K "green" electric bill to save the day. Just give him your 261 TRILLION $$ and all is ok. Liberal=Lemming
Al Gore will not debate global warming, because he cant, he will just BLOVIATE.

Not saying that there isn't climate change, but this Socialist movement is completely out of hand.

Dec 13, 07 - 09:54 am Comment from: TowerTone

Wow. The weak minded are so scared of a different point of view.

Spare me the flame. I watch almost every news organization there is, and Fox is just a small part of it. I have enough sense to filter out the bullshit from all of them.

Fox is no worse.

Dec 13, 07 - 09:54 am Comment from: Librium

Cool, I love Fixed Noise in the morning, good for a couple laughs. Guaranteed.

Dec 13, 07 - 09:55 am Comment from: Darth Mac

Dec 13, 07 - 10:00 am Comment from: January 24, 1984

Dec 13, 07 - 10:00 am Comment from: TowerTone

"WOW back at you. Lies are not different point views."

I suppose you can tell me of a network that gets it right?
This ought to be a riot.....

Dec 13, 07 - 10:03 am Comment from: @LibTard

Your first disqualification happened as soon as you used "libtard."

But then you were a good parrot and took the opportunity to go down your list of talking points. Someone give him a cracker!

Dec 13, 07 - 10:04 am Comment from: Ampar

"I suppose you can tell me of a network that gets it right?"

TVLAND?

Dec 13, 07 - 10:05 am Comment from: @TowerTone

I am not pr any one. but FOX News are unbelievable. they use religion and patriotism for their own good and their own agenda and lots fall into that either by choice or naivety .

Dec 13, 07 - 10:06 am Comment from: Ampar

"Just give him your 261 TRILLION $$ and all is ok."

Do you think he'll take a personal check?
I may have to shift some funds from savings to make it good.

Dec 13, 07 - 10:09 am Comment from: TowerTone

_______and_________ their own good and their own agenda and lots fall into that either by choice or naivety .

Fill in the blanks for any other network.

I should have saved some of that rope I gave you, since you choked on your own BS.

Wish I could play more. Gotta go get high.

Dec 13, 07 - 10:13 am Comment from: marko

I agree with TowerTone, here

Do you really think that any of the media outlets really have the ability to tell the truth? Or even know the truth?

The media never goes very deep into the history, geo-political relationships, and back door deals that make world go round. Lies are told to protect the interests of the powerful... and we believe them... enough to take sides over the lies...

Iran is nuclear... Iran is not nuclear... please, the truth is probably more than any of us can bear... who supports this nonsense? This very dangerous nonsense...

...And is FOX News worse than any other major media outlet?

Their fair and balanced lies are at least blatant...and

At least they have macbook pros on their desks.

Dec 13, 07 - 10:14 am Comment from: Reality Check

There is plenty enough liberal propaganda on CNN, CBS, MSNBC, and the other networks to satisfy even the most militant left wing libtards. I've never understood this fascination libbies have with FOX, I guess it's because they're the only major network that doesn't do their bidding so it pisses them off.

You losers really need to find something better to do with your pathetic lives. Getting a job and actually contributing to society would be a good place to start...

Dec 13, 07 - 10:17 am Comment from: Jake

Anyone notice that Fox News for iPhone is a "staff" pick on the Apple site?
BTW, the only posts above that make sense are those by TowerTone. Pretty funny that liberals get in such a lather about one cable news channel doing nothing more than the three major networks and many other outlets have been doing for decades, but from different perspective. What happened to liberals supporting "multiple perspectives"? As suggested by the "reel in and control" freak above who refers to Fox as "fascist," I guess that always really meant "multiple (approved) perspectives"--LOL!!

Dec 13, 07 - 10:22 am Comment from: Ampar

"Do you really think that any of the media outlets really have the ability to tell the truth?"

Um, I've been trusting the Food Network for months and so far no projectile vomiting. <fingers crossed> They're pretty liberal with the spices sometimes.
Was I wrong?

Dec 13, 07 - 10:24 am Comment from: R2

Can't wait for http://iphone.macdailynews.com.

Dec 13, 07 - 10:38 am Comment from: Macromancer

"Why can't conservatives have one?"

Well at least you are smart enough to recognize that it is propaganda, although I doubt you are smart enough to understand what a liberal really is.

Don't think for a second that it's just dems, liberals or whatever group you want to demonize that thinks things are out of whack.

Dec 13, 07 - 10:49 am Comment from: opie

Go Ron Paul!!!

Dec 13, 07 - 10:52 am Comment from: Javester

"Global warming is a political movement ie Socialism."

Libtard...

Don't let FACTS and SCIENCE get in the way of your ideology. What credentials do you have to make such a statement!?! Do you just dismiss ALL the scientists as LibTards and tenured terrorist!?!?!

Don't you wonder why educated people tend to be liberal?!?!

For me, belief is based on testable evidence - not flag-waving, faith-based, dogmatic proclamations.

Whatever happened to TRUE conservatives?!? The right wing has been hijacked by Fundamentalist Ultra-nationalist?!?

No wonder people like Hagel, Bloomberg, Buckley, et. al. are decrying the decline of the Republican Party.

Dec 13, 07 - 11:04 am Comment from: TexasAg03

Don't we as a nation get enough right wing, christian fascist propaganda without needing to encourage it ourselves!

That's a bit much. I agree that Fox's commentators are mostly conservative (Mr. Colmes being the liberal of note), but their news is balanced. At CBS, et. al., most of their commentators are liberal, but their news is NOT balanced.

That's what makes me laugh. People scream about O'Reilly being conservative and biased. Of course he is; he is a commentator, not an anchor. We saw the truth come out about mainstream anchors with the Dan Rather fiasco.

Dec 13, 07 - 11:15 am Comment from: Begins with F, ends with rank

@ TowerTone:

While I agree with you news networks are very politically motivated and are not very accurate or reliable, it's disappointing to hear your cynicism. Your response to the idea that "all networks get it wrong" should not be "Fox News is entitled to misinform people," but that we as viewers should be pressuring news networks to be more accountable.

And I think most people who have seen Fox News can tell that its bias is unabashedly over the top. Perhaps that is a good thing, and such questions will get people to be more critical of their news sources. At the same time, it is a substitute for "news". It is propaganda, no doubt about it, and propaganda needs to be opposed, that is, if you want a free society. What I truly worry about is the people who think Fox News is representing reality and providing any real information about the issues and facts. It only encourages bigotry, intolerance and warmongering.

Dec 13, 07 - 11:16 am Comment from: Begins with F, ends with rank

By the way, posting under the name Frank will get you blocked. Go ahead, try it. Welcome to the New America, comrades.

Dec 13, 07 - 11:21 am Comment from: Spark

I watch Fox News and CNN. Each at times is interesting and both sometimes make me cringe. I think a lot of people conflate the Fox News channel's commentary shows (e.g., O'Reilly & Hannitty) with the network's news coverage. While the commentary shows lean conservative (if not "hard Right") the news reporting IS pretty fair and balanced. Some of you are so used to news reporting that puts a negative spin on the actions of, let's see, Republicans, the Administration, Corporations, America... and the like, that when that spin is absent you have the illusion that the spin is going the other way. How many of you Fox News bashers actually visited the iPhone site before commenting? Maybe the one or two of you that did would like to highlight the news stories there that are "lies" or "right-wing propaganda". They are just stories like you'd see via AP or Reuters, on CNN, or in the NYT or LA Times.

Dec 13, 07 - 11:21 am Comment from: TexasAg03

Don't let FACTS and SCIENCE get in the way of your ideology. What credentials do you have to make such a statement!?! Do you just dismiss ALL the scientists as LibTards and tenured terrorist!?!?!

There is more and more dissent every day within the ranks of scientists concerning the human effect on global warming. I don't know of any hard facts, just conjecture and political pandering by the likes of Al Gore (who was given a peace prize for environmental theories in which he as NO expertise of which many have been proven false; a prize once awarded to the terrorist Arafat.)

Don't you wonder why educated people tend to be liberal?!?! Because they get so educated the lose their common sense. wink Actually, it is an elitist mentality that develops. People get more educated and think themselves better than others. Therefore, their social and fiscal ideas should be pushed upon the "lower class" of uneducated individuals because they don't know any better.

For me, belief is based on testable evidence - not flag-waving, faith-based, dogmatic proclamations.

People who believe completely, with no room for discussion, in man-made global warming are making their dogmatic proclamations based on their faith in the "science" of climate change, as they now call it. The difference is, they hate their country and the fact that it is so powerful and wealthy and, therefore, don't wave flags.
