Reflecting back on SJ's introduction of the iPhone the part that got the most lackluster response was the part about it being a " breakthrough internet communicator". In over six months of use I find that, this is the most compelling part of the device. I am constantly looking things up, settling bets about obscure facts etc. This where the so called pundits have missed the boat. The iPhone is a life altering device and I would never go back to anything that did not provide this level of internet access.

Cos people using iPhone are always LOST.

Google has the right data. This will jump start development for the iPhone when SDK comes out.

IT Guy is just jealous. Probably had to use his DELL to post here since his phone probably crashed, has a lousy web interface, or his fixed keys are probably stuck from all the snot from his grubby fingers jamming the keys.

People with iPhones actually use it for Internet access, because it has a real browser called Safari. The other phones have limited browsers which are not as useful or enjoyable, so they do not get used as often by the owners. That means iPhone users are much more valuable to Internet content providers and advertisers as users of those other mobile devices.

But that "50 times" stat is pretty shocking. Given the much lower number of iPhones out there right now compared to other smart phones with Internet access, it means that users of those other phone almost NEVER use them to access the Internet. From the perspective of Internet content providers and advertisers, those other phones might as well not even exist. iPhone all the way...

Why would google be scared?
