IN Media Corp. today announced the release of the “Windows 7 Tablet PC.” The Windows 7 Tablet PC tries to run the full Windows 7 OS. The product is underpowered by the 1.66GHZ Intel Atom processor and comes with a 160 GB hard drive because its developers do not understand how people are using their iPads.
The Windows 7 Tablet PC comes with an HDMI port, a forward facing camera and what the company’s video claims is a “10-inch” screen, despite their press release stating that it’s 11.25 x 6 inches (12.75″ diagonal).
“We wanted to launch a tablet that did everything, not just a media player or eReader or net book but all those things and much more,” stated IN Media C.E.O. Nick Karnik in the sloppily-written, somewhat incomprehensible, English-as-a-third-langage press release. “The touch screen the Windows 7 Tablet PC had all the full functionality of a PC in an elegant and efficient tablet format and because of the operating system users are not limited to what type of video formats they can view as all are supported including the most popular, Flash.”
IN Media’s high quality, professionally-voiced video:
MacDailyNews Take: The understatement of the voiceover talent, especially on the phrase “Windows business productivity,” is subtle yet ineffective.
IN Media’s Windows 7 Tablet PC is scheduled for shipment in first quarter 2011 and will roll out in Asia and the U.S. at a suggested retail price of US$399. If you can’t wait, please seek immediate help.

MacDailyNews Take: Further proof that iMovie in the wrong hands can be more effective than ipecac.
This has to be a joke! I literally looks like a giant iPod Touch!
Awesome, they tout Flash by showing a credit score ad running on the side, cause that’s the content I really want to see.
MDNMW: eyes – My eyes! it Burns!
Derivative ape shite.. Next!
Who invested their money to build this product? You’d think the investors at least should be smarter than this. If I’ve ever seen a doomed product, this is it.
The investors will kick themselves they didn’t just buy AAPL stock with their money.
Yes … just what I want when I go to read a novel. Vertically scrolling pages! Faster, I’m sure, for skimming to the end of the book, but I think Apple’s “page flipping” works better for reading longer books.
Hmmmm, maybe I’ll wait for version 2.
That is a funny video. Looks like they used iMovie to make it too!
How about the soundtrack? I was getting ready to cover my kids eyes when I heard it playing. I wasn’t sure what they might unveil.
Anyone notice that the video was made using Apple’s iMovie? It has all the software’s transitions and titling.
Ugly. I already sent you a pic of what my dog Tango thinks of Microsoft earlier. Ugh
Draggig the keyboard around to see your input boxes doesn’t look much fun
Funny, I’ve just made a company spoof movie of our Christmas Party using the Comic Book Theme in iMovie…
I wonder if it has that cool Ctr-Alt-Delete button that the HP Slate has.
I could be wrong, but I believe that entire video was made with iMovie based on the text effects and the comicbook theme. Can anyone confirm that?
Are we sure this is even a real product video, because that almost looks like a spoof. Absolutely astounding if they actually expect this to succeed. Who wants to manually move the keyboard everytime they type something?
DOA
MDN Word: second, as in almost good enough to be second-rate…
…almost.
Awwwwesome jump cuts! It must have taken minutes for each keystroke to register!
Ha
All these jokers will only be a boon for Apple. Who is going to want to wade through all these different alternatives, when the only question that will matter is, “Do I want an iPad or do I hate Apple so much that I will take the time to wade through all the shite to make a decision to buy one of the other overpriced (for what you get), under-sized, battery draining, under-performing, unstable, unsecure paper weights?”
This is a parody!
Love the hit-wait-hit response.
It’s unfortunate that IN Media doesn’t have an advertising budget. I guess this thing is dead in the water.
And how long will the battery last on this hog? One hour? Two at the most, unless it actually has a laptop battery, in which case it’s going to be as thick and as heavy as a brick.
Desperation is thick as competitors try to jump on the tablet bandwagon.
Notice how they say you can run FLASH, but the only flash running was the Advertisement…!!!!!
Just so funny.
Just a thought,
en
The video is like a high school media class project. Give them credit for it being their first effort.
Rolling on the floor!
it might be a tad underpowered, but the way i see it, is this is a real computer and the maxipad is a toy.
You have to be kidding right ? Is this some kind of joke or what, lol why are they trying to commit suicide.
Sadly, I know several people who would grab one of these things without hesitation.
Are you effing serious? Is this promo video a joke? It’s about as amateur as anything I’ve ever seen.
Note to IN Media: If you’re going to create a promo video of your product, the video should make it look LESS like sh*t, not MORE.
They totally used iMovie to make that. And that soundtrack is a short loop available in Soundtrack Pro – like how they just kept butting up the loops to each other – didn’t even bother to try and mix them into one continuous (and obnoxious) stream.
Wow… with production skillz like this, this product is surely going to be a hit!
