“The rumor mill is working overtime in the run-up to Apple Expo, scheduled for September 25-29 in Paris,” Stephen Withers reports for iTWire.
“Top of the list is the mooted European iPhone announcement. Rumors are still swirling about which carriers will be involved,” Withers reports.
“Also tipped for a Paris debut is an updated iPod nano – said to be a small, square device in new colours that sports a scroll wheel and video-playing capability. Oh, and up to 16G capacity,” Withers reports.

I’ll bet the Apple Store in Paris will be stocked full of these new items. Oops. Never mind.
Apple Expo U.K. or Japan makes more sense.
A square nano. Ugh. That’s quite Creative. As in “that also-ran MP3 player company who makes the Zen”.
Sounds about the right time for new iPods, and I’m looking forward to them because Steve said that they’ll be running OS X (although I can’t find the article right now). So I look forward to my iPod which I can compile custom software on and hopefully connect to wifi hotspots, while keeping my pay as you go phone separate. Great!
