“A study in mice suggests using cellphones may help prevent some of the brain-wasting effects of Alzheimer’s disease, U.S. researchers said on Wednesday,” Reuters reports.
“After long-term exposure to electromagnetic waves such as those used in cell phones, mice genetically altered to develop Alzheimer’s performed as well on memory and thinking skill tests as healthy mice, the researchers wrote in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease,” Reuters reports. “The results were a major surprise and open the possibility of developing a noninvasive, drug-free treatment for Alzheimer’s, said lead author Gary Arendash of the University of South Florida.”
“Arendash’s team exposed the mice to electromagnetic waves equivalent to those emitted by a cellphone pressed against a human head for two hours daily over seven to nine months,” Reuters reports. “At the end of that time, they found cellphone exposure erased a build-up of beta amyloid, a protein that serves as a hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease. The Alzheimer’s mice showed improvement and had reversal of their brain pathology, he said.”
“There has been recent controversy about whether electromagnetic waves from cellphones cause brain cancer,” Reuters reports. “Co-author Chuanhai Cao said the mice study is more evidence that long-term cellphone use is not harmful to the brain.”

Seriously? Who were these mice talking to?
Well, I guess I’m gonna buy a cellphone for my mouse. (magic mouse). Because I don’t want a forgetful mouse.
So does my iPhone count for my FSA?
There’s an App for that…..or….at least I thought there was…..

PETA
Great! Cure Alzheimer’s, develop brain cancer
So ObamaCare will pay for my cellphone now right?
iPhone use may prevent, even reverse, effects of Alzheimer’s

As in ANY cell phone, not just the iPhone.
The iPhone not only cures Alzheimer’s, it prevents brain cancer, cleans you ear wax, styles your hair, and exfoliates your skin.
I know it’s true because research on rodents said so, using simulated electromagnetic waves which simulated a long time period simulating talking on an iPhone with simulated mice in a computer simulation.
So can I have my dr write a prescription for an iPhone?
My brain could be snappier?
and how much did Nokia contribute to this “study”?
If the iPhone helps the brains of mice, what does the iMouse do?
Over the holidays there was a study released that indicated that Alzheimer’s patients are much less likely to get cancer and cancer patients were much less likely to get Alzheimer’s.
So, if the electromagnetic waves from a cell phone cause brain cancer as the folks in Maine are saying, then maybe the cell phones are preventing Alzheimer’s by giving you cancer.
There’s even a app for that.
That should be AN app. Sorry.
The app could just turn on the transmitter at full power and you could hold it up to your head.
But will it reverse augmented stupidity?
Bing has got to be the dumbest name ever…
but then again there were the Seinfeld commercials with a senile Bill Gates in it.

Err, Um don’t you know MDN is Faux News supporter? Being “fair and accurate” is not in their DNA.
@LOLing
MDN is reporting with headlines just like the New York Times would.
Islandgirl is right. It’s all cell phones.
Ballmer will now be excited to now WinMo phones can now be called Jesus Phones…..
The is MacDailyNews kids!
It’s not ANY cell phone. The bane of WinMo offsets any gains from the cellphone hardware.
Well they used a mouse to grow a human ear. so perhaps this mouse got an iPhone.
Multi-twitch….
