Jack-O-Lantern Screensaver 1.2 released in time for Halloween

Killer Robots' freeware "Jack-O-Lantern Screensaver" displays a carved 3D pumpkin on your Mac. The pumpkin is recreated in detail right down to the flickering candle inside. Several carving designs are included and, of course, you can even create your own. No getting your hands dirty carving the real thing.

What’s new in version 1.2
• 10 additional default carvings added.
• Updated to a universal binary. Now runs on Intel Macs.
• Improved multiple monitor support. Can now select between displaying pumpkins on all monitors or just the main monitor.
• New “Display Middle” option. When turned on you can see the inner pumpkin walls of the carving. Slower to draw but looks more realistic.
• General code clean-up and improvements.

That Star Wars "scroll" is pretty sweet, but it needs to have the soundtrack playing in the background! Creator should have at least put in an option to link an MP3 to it...

It's pretty neat, but I would change one thing...

Rather than have each jack-o-lantern fade to black, and then a new one appear, I think it would be a better effect to have the current face simply rotate away, and the new face to rotate into its place.

But yes, it is a fun screen saver for the holiday.

Definitely not the "Urbane" cowboy. Halloween or All Hallow's Eve is the night before All Hallow's or All Saint's Day. Yes, it might be considered a Holy Day or the contracted version, Holiday.

I think that All Hallow's Eve is not the holiday (Holy Day) either, but Nov. 1st which is a Catholic holy day, All Saints' Day.
