Could he have been more obvious about the fact that he was reading that entire "spiel" from a teleprompter, or something similar positioned above the camera? And whoever wrote his schtick had better not give up their day job, cause they sure aint cutting it as a comedy writer.

Yesterday, on Jay Leno (don't ask me why I know this, as I am a die-hard Letterman fan), Hugh Laurie promoted music by his band (you heard me) available exclusively via iTunes.
I guess, what MDN is intimating is that various folks are considering iTunes as a legitimate medium for their creative/cultural outlet. Case in hand, Mr. Mason, who I believe, can be more entertaining than Mr. Leno.
