Lehman chip analyst: Micron should benefit from Apple’s next-gen iPhone
Tuesday, April 29, 2008 - 11:00 AM EST"Lehman chip analyst Tim Luke writes this morning that 'proprietary checks' show Apple may build 3 million 3G iPhones by June, with at least 10 million built by year end," Eric Savitz blogs for Baron's.
"Luke says memory chip maker demand Micron Technology should benefit in the coming weeks from firming NAND spot pricing as a result of Apple procures parts for the 3G buildup," Savitz reports. "And he also notes that Micron shares tend to track NAND spot market pricing; ergo, he thinks the stock could rally."
