Get ready for the whiners when cut and paste isn't even mentioned.
Personally, I would like to be able to print anything I select a la bluetooth and have a Spotlight app that searches systemwide before cut and paste. I'll cut and paste once, say "cool", and then never use it again, kinda like speech recognition on the Mac.
Forstall lacks a little personality, but he is sharp and convincing, so keep an eye on him down the road. Today will be a good test for him in the public eye.

I'm sure there's an underground challenge to hack Mac keynotes now that it happened before, so watch out and secure your stuff.

Why would I modify it to show a bunch of sites on a one-off basis when I can just open them in different tabs and switch between them as I see fit?

Apple is still ATT's bitch. If Steve Jobs had any balls he would have told ATT to stuff it and partnered with Verizon.

Have you considered that Apple told Verizon to stuff it and partnered with ATT instead? Maybe Verizon were a bunch of douchebags. Maybe they didn't want to revenue-share with Apple. Maybe they didn't want Apple and their non-feature-monetizing all-for-one-price plan phone. Maybe Apple specifically eliminated Verizon for some reason.

The point of all my prognostication is that you don't know a damn thing about any of the negotiations or the decision-analysis process that led to AAPL choosing ATT, and therefore your entire post is simply moronic.

I don't understand why everyone's so up in arms about cut and paste. I've wanted to do that maybe two or three times total since I've had my iphone. I want to use Flash in Safari almost every time I open my browser. For me, the best announcement I could hear today is that Safari on 3.0 will support flash (at least the video component), and if there's no flash announcement today, I'm going to write a letter to my congressman.

When someone texts you a name and address, how else do you store it as a contact? When you find a web address on a web page how do you get it into Google maps? I don't have an iPhone because my Sprint deal is way too good to leave so I was just wondering. I don't think I could live without it.

Apple store is still online at 11:32 Central Time. Not counting on any new products available today, anyway . . .

The way I heard it from people who know is that Verizon turned down the iPhone, because they weren't willing to make the deal sight unseen the way that AT&T;was. I haven't heard that anyone got offended over it, it's just business.

So far (10:50am) it's all been about the SDK. No new end-user features yet, no glimpse of a new iPhone OS. I hope there's "one more thing"

- Let go of AT&T;and allow others to play to.
