Mac developers team up for Virginia Tech Memorial Fund charity sale

On May 2nd, 2007, several independent Mac software developers will donate the proceeds of their sales to the Virginia Tech Memorial fund. To contribute to this great cause, go to one (or several) of the participating sites and purchase their software. The participating developers and their products are listed at virginia-tech-memorial-fund.

April 16, 2007, will be remembered as one of the darkest days in the history of the Virginia Tech community and the world beyond. To remember and honor the victims of those tragic events, the university has established the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund to aid in the the healing process.

The fund will be used to cover expenses including but not limited to:
• Assistance to victims and their families
• Grief counseling
• Memorials
• Communications expenses
• Comfort expenses – Virginia Tech Memorial Fund site

  1. As an alumini of Virginia Tech, I think that is pretty decent of the developers to make a donation. Regardless of the amount, I’m sure the gift will be greatly appreciated.

    I wonder if there are any plans to upgrade “Big Mac”.

    Given that most Mac owners are loners with social problems, it seems appropriate they would contribute when one of their own goes completely over the edge.
