When I first got my iPhone, I wished all the keyboard instances would be rotatable to give the bigger landscape mode as well. But over time, I have learned to like the portrait version as you can move much faster between the keys. However, I am fully in favor of the "option" to rotate on all keyboards.

Does anyone think today will be "snappy?"

On a serious note, me and my wife are in the market for new iPhones... to replace her throwaway and my Blackberry (which I never used the data plan on... I just hated every other phone's interface more). I've also been holding off on a Mac mini purchase, waiting to see if they come out with an update.

Reading about all these apps makes me want to stab my eyes out!

The big thing is yet to be announced!

Why did they even make this a keynote? Developers are messing themselves, no doubt - but joe schmoe, I guaran-damn-tee doesn't give a rat's ass about any of this!

No doubt! If I wanted to know all about these apps, I would just get online and read their descriptions or download demos. I couldn't care less about these devs tooting their own horns.

Time to switch to ATT. A pair of iPhones is in my future (one for me and one for my wife). No more calls from the wifie because she is lost.. Now she can just use GPS, take a picture of where she is, email to me... and I can give her directions from there...

*yawn* .. other then fantastic pricing (interesting if this is true retail or after at&t;discount) I didn't get blown away by anything .. I've been in the 2.0 beta so most of this is old news to me but everything is something Blackberry already offers:

Location based services
Internet Service with Push everything
Push Notification (duh!)

Funny cracking on that MS Connector that will get you acceptance into the Enterprise .. then again ask anyone who supports Windows Mobile how crappy ActiveSync is anyways. MobileMe is a neat idea for those not bound to an enterprise email system .. but $99 on top of your carrier charges .. pricey.

I don't think he can still make his comparison with the Moto Q-Phone anymore.

The $99 is an annual fee. It just replaces .Mac, so for those of us who have .Mac, it is a great upgrade. If you don't want/need the push services, then don't get .Mac.

While many of the added features may be what Blackberry offers already, RIM doesn't offer anything close the the iPhone's OS, multi-touch, or web surfing experience.

I'm looking forward to the upgrade for my current iPhone. Hopefully the Exchange synching will be integrated into new versions of Mail, iCal, and Address Book so I can stop using Entourage altogether, and everything will (finally!) sync on my Mac and the Exchange server.

- copy & paste
- thetering as an usb modem
- bluetooth headset support
- landscape keyboard mode everywhere
- video-capture
- voice-recording
- 5MP camera with autofocus and flash
