Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

As we enter the Christmastime news slowdown, we can all look forward with anticipation to Apple CEO Steve Jobs' opening keynote address for Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco on Tuesday, January 15, 2008, 9am PST. The news (and rumors) will undoubtedly build later this week as we count down the days to the event. We can hardly wait!

We'll continue to post as time, disparate Internet connections, and the news permits.

Thank you for visiting MacDailyNews throughout the year and for making MDN a part of your day. We really appreciate it!

Politically correct Holiday Wishes To You:

Please accept with no obligation implied or implicit our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practised within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practice of your choice, with due respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practise religious or secular traditions at all…

And a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped to make Canada and the United States of America great (not to imply that Canada or the United States of America are necessarily greater than any other country)

And without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform or sexual preference of the recipient/s*.

With the amount of affection and sincerity that you might feel appropriate.

John

*(By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms:
This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher/s to actually implement any of the wishes for him/her/themselves or others, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher/s.

This greeting is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this greeting or issuance of a new greeting at the sole discretion of the wisher/s.)

Merry Christmas and a great New Year MDN!

Dec 24, 07 - 10:20 am Comment from: January 24, 1984

It's been a sensational year.

In recent years past, the PC/Mac bickering was always extinguished against my "logic" by the rejoinder "Macs are an insignificant computing citizen."

This year, above all, that has become an anachronism, easily repelled.

As the world of business becomes ever more the age of the individual, Apple will prosper.

Happy Holidays.

Dec 24, 07 - 10:27 am Comment from: Yours Smugly

I'm agnostic, and have no problems with CHRISTmas. (Besides, in my mother tongue the word Christmas doesn't even have Christ in it.) So, merry Christmas and a Maccy New Year to you all, including Windows sufferers!

Dec 24, 07 - 10:28 am Comment from: Yours Smugly

Well, to be politically correct, maybe I should add Snappy Holidays too...

Dec 24, 07 - 10:36 am Comment from: GeoMac

Dec 24, 07 - 10:45 am Comment from: Alex

To All My Democrat Friends:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

To My Republican Friends:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Dec 24, 07 - 10:47 am Comment from: DakRoland

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to everyone.

May there be Peace on Earth, with goodwill towards all mankind.

Okay, Santa, BRING ON THE GIFTS! wink

Dec 24, 07 - 10:56 am Comment from: Brandon Petersen

My sister and her husband have been struggling for a long time. My sister is now 40, they have 4 kids, one in college, and they live with my parents to make ends meet. Some friends of theirs pooled money and gave them a gift card for $250 to Wal-mart.

Now when my sister found out that my wife and I weren't getting each other anything for Christmas because of our on struggles, my sister and brother-in-law gave us the gift card.

That is the meaning of the season.

Merry Christmas

Dec 24, 07 - 11:01 am Comment from: ChrissyOne

And you took it?

Dec 24, 07 - 11:03 am Comment from: Drunk Cheney

Here's to the original "Reason for the Season"

In ancient Babylon, the feast of the Son of Isis (Goddess of Nature) was celebrated on December 25. Raucous partying, eating and drinking, and gift-giving were traditions of this feast.

So – Peace on Earth to All

Have a wonderful holiday and a healthy, prosperous New Year!

"Oh and don't forget to love your enemies." Jesus Christ

Merry Christmas to all!
May all your days be glossy and bright!

Dec 24, 07 - 11:20 am Comment from: Ampar

Let's not gloss over the key meaning of the season. May good fortune tower over you with fond memories. May no one monitor your input with malice and errors. But rather, let's drive the option to shift goodwill towards a better startup for the new year.

Happy holidays only to those who deserve it.
