Moviegoers, gotta pee? There’s an iPhone app for that, too
Friday, July 03, 2009 - 04:16 PM EST

Apple Online Store "Soda. Coffee. Water. Next time to you go to the movies, chug 'em all down," Ned Potter and Ki Mae Heussner report for ABC News.

"As long as you have a new iPhone app by your side, you'll know when you can escape to the bathroom without missing the best parts," Potter and Heussner report.

"The application features all the movies currently playing in theaters and tells users approximately how far into the movie each 'pee time' begins, the cue line to listen for and even what they've missed," Potter and Heussner report.

"'The idea came from watching King Kong the re-make in 2005,'" said Dan Florio, RunPee's creator, referring to Peter Jackson's marathon three-hour blockbuster," Potter and Heussner report. "Throughout much of the movie, he said, he was desperate to relieve himself. 'I kept thinking, I wish they would just kill this ape so that I could get to the men's room,' he said."

Uh.. ...?

Jul 03, 09 - 03:24 pm Comment from: Love it!!!

I almost pee'd in my pants waiting for lotr: return of the king to end. And freaking transformers2(let down).

Jul 03, 09 - 03:26 pm Comment from: mike_in_helsinki

Lots of free time to go pee when that incompetent idiot Obama starts running his mouth on TV every night.

Jul 03, 09 - 03:28 pm Comment from: ...Aaaaand down the stretch they come!!!

Even if this isn't listed in the Top Apps in the iTunes store, it still holds the distinction of being the #1 App. Of course, if you have to go #2, then you can use the iPhone while you're in the bathroom and read up on the latest news using the USA Today App.

Palin 2012

she just stepped down as governor!

Yea! The first women president!!

First to get rid of that bungling democratic socialist sub-prime causing mess called Congress in 2010.

Jul 03, 09 - 03:49 pm Comment from: R2

Palin is finished. If she couldn't take the heat as governor of Alaska, she'd surely buckle under the pressure of a presidential run.

Look at that whiny resignation speech she gave. Poor woman just couldn't hack it. She's no Ronald Reagan.

It's up to Bobby Jindal or Mitt Romney to dethrone Chairman Maobama in 2012.

And don't forget RunPee's in-app purchase option, to add the RunPoo feature, when a bit more time is needed...

(There really is an iPhone app for everything, isn't there?)

Jul 03, 09 - 04:08 pm Comment from: Sir Gill Bates

@ mike_in_helsinki,

"Lots of free time to go pee ..."

That really works out well for a senile fart like you who can't stop pissing and moaning about everything.

Jul 03, 09 - 04:26 pm Comment from: lurker

No. She just needs to focus on her presidential candidacy. The election is only 3 1/2 years away and she's got to start cramming now!

Jul 03, 09 - 04:38 pm Comment from: Sir Gill Bates

@ lurker,

"... she's got to start cramming now!"

Yeah, I heard Katie Couric wants to interview her again.

Another instance of the "Duh" heard 'round the world.

Jul 03, 09 - 05:06 pm Comment from: mike_in_helsinki

@sir gill whatever asswipe

We are working together to keep you up, posting, inching that blood pressure up. You will be the next asswipe to found snuffed out by a heart attack.

Jul 03, 09 - 05:41 pm Comment from: Sir Gill Bates

@ mike_in_helsinki,

Sorry fart breath, but you don't have what it takes to get me worked up. Try devoting your efforts toward developing a personality. You need one.

Jul 03, 09 - 05:52 pm Comment from: Sir Gill Bates

Just watched CBS News coverage of Palin giving her little resignation speech. Her coherence hasn't improved at all.

Sarah Palin

Geraldine Ferraro for a new generation

Jul 04, 09 - 05:23 am Comment from: The DataDude

@ mike_in_helsinki,

Well, mickey, it's good to see that you are back to doing what you do best... bitching and moaning about Obama. What kind of narrow, lazy, infantile, one-track mind must you have to keep posting the same tiresome, boring anti-Obama invective post after post?

Go out, get a life and most important, for the sake of all of us.... G I V E I T A R E S T!

Jul 04, 09 - 09:21 am Comment from: mike_in_helsinki

@The DataDude

So ... you loons can dish it out, but you don't seem to have the fortitude to take it, eh?

Ha ... there's a diaper for that!

Jul 04, 09 - 09:24 am Comment from: Mr. Reeee

The righty loons are out today... tin-foil hats and all.

Back to the subject...

Stupid App idea of the week.

Yeah, try playing with your iPhone DURING a movie in New York and see how long you live.

Just don't buy one of those giant sugar water drinks. Not only will you NOT have to pee during the flick, but you'll also survive the show.

Jul 04, 09 - 10:56 am Comment from: Jim - TIV

Palin doesn't have a chance to ever get elected president. She's the Dan Quayle of this generation. Comparing her Geraldine Ferrao is unfair to GF.

Mitt Romney will be the next one the Repub's put up. If Pres. Obama continues to stumble and doesn't right his political ship, Romney might have a chance. Right now congress is dragging down Obama more than anything else.

Jul 04, 09 - 10:57 am Comment from: Jim - TIV

@R2... getting hammered by David Letterman night after night is hardly Alaskan Politics. But you're right, she's done.

Jul 05, 09 - 07:24 pm Comment from: knowhowe

Jeez, you guys. What's with all the anti-Obama etc etc stuff in a Mac software site?

Is it an American thing? NO insult intended, I'd just really like to know what the deal is. Haven't you got access to places more suited to this?

You should be grateful you haven't got Gordon Brown and bloody Mandleson in charge like us poor sods.

Jul 06, 09 - 04:17 am Comment from: Brulek

@Mr Reee

you could always use the jumbo bucket to relieve yourself in...There has to a roughly conservative liquid cycle happening eventually...Amount in = amount out + storage (if you're retaining water- too much salt food)...Jut don't drop your iphone in it...Not sure there's an anti-piss app

Jul 06, 09 - 01:24 pm Comment from: Smarmy Bastard

Moviegoers? How about us commuters? I need to know where it's safe to whizz on my long-ass commute...is there an app for that?
