Students used to give apples to teachers. Now they’re the ones getting Apples. At Kutztown Area High School, those Apples are iBooks – high-powered laptop computers with G4 processors and 30GB hard drives. In October, all 640 students received laptops loaded with the latest software, including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, iMovie, iPhoto and Excel,” Jennifer Sheehan reports for The Morning Call.
“Kutztown is one of a handful of districts across the state that have equipped students with laptops. In the Lehigh Valley, the Bethlehem Area School District has laptops for its sixth- and seventh-graders,” Sheehan reports. “In Kutztown, wireless technology allows students to switch on their laptops anywhere in the school. Students also take their laptops home for school work.”
“Students will tell you that school’s a lot different since the laptops arrived. ‘It’s a lot more fun to be in school,’ says senior Justin Knabb, 17. ‘And teachers are more excited about teaching and giving assignments,'” Sheehan reports.

It’s weird but I see this often. People substitute ‘Office’ where ‘Word’ should go. The part I don’t like is having iMovie, and iPhoto sandwiched in between the office apps.
