With the eagerly-anticipated Apple iPhone almost here, Playboy.com is celebrating the glorious gadget with the launch of “iPlayboy,” a collection of multimedia features designed to turn up the heat on that cool, new phone.
iPhone owners may visit Playboy.com to download a free set of twelve sexy non-nude Playmate wallpapers, a separate photo album with twelve additional Playmate photos, a complete 1-hour episode of Playboy Radio’s “The Playmate Hour” (SIRIUS Satellite Radio # 198) with hosts Miriam Gonzalez (Miss March ’01) and Pilar Lastra (Miss August ’04) and a Playboy.com Cyber Girl video, all customized for the Apple iPhone.

As much as there are religious reasons for avoiding porn, the one that drives me is the look that was on my Sister’s face when she found out her husband had a large porn collection.
In today’s world it’s imposable to ban such a thing, and very difficult to avoid, even I must admit to looking at it in my weaker moments. However I really don’t want to see that look from someone I love, therefore I try to avoid it as much as possible. That being said I still click on links like these… a sad sad state…

I think this is tech news for two reasons:
1. It is content being offered specifically for the iPhone, not phones in general.
2. Wether you like porn or not, it is a huge business. Porn can make or break a tech product (i.e.- BetaCassettes)

Ok, ok enough with the “VHS won because of porn” stuff. Of course it won it was cheaper and porn was mostly only available in a theater. But with VHS you could watch it at home cheaper than betamax.
But that is null and void now. Porn is freely available on the internet. And since the iPhone is very capable of internet browsing… you see my point. It’s the iPhone’s great internet features that will allow porn to be procured.
It’s cool that a big name like Playboy did this, but really it’s more of a publicity show than anything else. There are much prettier girls on the net who show more for less money. So as great as Playboy was it’s a little behind the times. But that’s just my opinion.
