It would be great if they also announced some sort of iPhone partnership there. I'm moving there in June and can't fathom using any other phone.

That should curry favor from their Apple fans.

Mar 07, 08 - 02:06 pm Comment from: CheekyGit

Apple should be up in "arms" about this.

Ok, bad joke. Hey, at least I tried.

Up in arms in regards to "celebrating" not being angry.

Hey, it's Friday. My brain shuts down about this time.

iStore opened in Bangalore first. Its been operational since nov 07. I visited the store. Its just like visiting any Apple store. They have only apple products on display.

When I asked iStore employee about iPhone Launch - he said it would come to India in September.. Hoping they will launch 3G iPhone with better storage capacity. But can't wait that long..

Holy crap. It looks like the rigging of collapsed pirate ships. Or a giant spider on acid.

Let's hope that Reliance Retail has a long term deal with Apple, and that Apple doesn't start opening Apple stores in India.

At least the locals will be able to understand when they call Apple customer service.

Mar 09, 08 - 01:24 am Comment from: walter Chillum

ron,

The last I checked (December 07), in Australia at least, Apple customer service was as local as vegemite sandwiches.
