Exactly, who knows they may have been trying to steal the new MacBook Pro. We don't have enough information to make a case for what they were stealing.

BTW - The gunman was Lauren dressed like a male in his twenties with a fake beard. She was fed up with her PC and didn't know another way to get a hold of a mac. (Okay, so I failed at being serious)

A store robbery at 10am? when most stores have no money after a previous nights cash drop? Sounds more suspicious than just an armed robbery, of course, most criminals aren't known to be smart. Race, of course, should be a non issue. I don't believe in racism or discrimination at all. After all, every white, black, indian, chinese, mexican, irish, jew, italian, polish, russian, catholic, protestant, northerner, southerner, etc was a suspected criminal, or got their ass beat because of bias at one point or another in America, and everyone except indigenous people are immigrants anyway. We've hated everyone at one point or another, so nobody can claim superiority or entitlement especially when the demographics are changing so rapidly.

Of course, he could have been a white guy, in a real beard, colored to look black (a la Watermelon Man, or Black Like Me).

The eroding economy will see more of this sort of behavior, especially from the more testosterone heavy, impulsive, young black males which are facing the highest unemployment rate in the country at somewhere near 16% and rising.

I could give some valuable street advice, it really comes down to what can be done will be done.

Apparently there was a security weakness at that Apple store, most likely the back door as Apple stores usually have security up front.

I keep hearing all the unemployment woes. I can't really buy into it though. Being that the want ads are over raught with employment opportunity. Go to work already, I work two jobs, my wife works one, we invest money and support a total of seven.

Life is what you make, if you cry enough about things I guess you can say you have a sad life.

I do hope the Apple employee who was shot makes a full recovery. Hopefully the security cameras or even built in cameras on the computers captured a picture of the suspect.

I remember the great Godfrey Cambridge (aka "Watermelon Man") and I remember "Black Like Me" was required reading for me in elementary school in Delaware in the early '70s. Even being Black myself it was an eye-opener because I'm not from the South.

I've been thinking for a while that something like this shooting at an Apple Store was inevitable (they're always crowded). Here in Columbus, Ohio, somebody in a Lexus at 1:00 in the morning rammed into the Apple Easton Store in a quick smash and grab and actually got away with the police in hot pursuit. This was a year or so ago, but because Apple products are high-end, they attract perpetrators.

The person shot was a female. She was shot in the shoulder, taken away in an ambulance as helicopters and K-9 police crew search for the shooter. There is surveillance video clips posted online already of the guy, gun in hand entering the back door and bringing the woman to another room off camera and another video with him running out, I think without any Mac or iPod in hand. He was wearing beige shirt and grey pants it seems. Anyway, I hear the woman who was shot is in serious but stable condition.
