“AU Optronics Corp. and Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp., Taiwan’s top two flat-panel makers by revenue, have obtained flat-panel orders for Apple Inc.’s new MacBook, the Commercial Times reported Friday, citing industry sources,” Marketwatch reports.
“The shipment target for the MacBook, due to be launched in the third quarter this year, is up to three million units and the orders could be worth nearly NT$13.5 billion, the Chinese-language daily said,” Marketwatch reports.
