That's about as much of a wanted endorsement as Cheney's was for McCain.

Apple has always been popular with the Left. Why would this be a surprise?

Great.

The "president" of a socialist dictatorship masquerading as a republic and - if Obama and the mainstream media pull it off - the "president" of a republic masquerading as a socialist dictatorship will both be Mac users.

Comrade Steve Jobs must be smiling today.

Proudly voting for McCain-Palin 2008.

Boy, I get tired of all the political bullshit that gets thrown on here. But since we're on the topic, I just want to point out that Obama is no more of a socialist than Bill Clinton was.

And that economy really sucked, didn't it?

You know, you can disagree on taxes and how much and whom should be taxed, but labeling Obama a communist doesn't do anyone in this country any favors. It just pours more oil into the water. By the end, the truth is murkier and the division is even more intense.

Now, back to Apple news already in progress. . .

Nov 03, 08 - 04:53 pm Comment from: Russia is far from socialist.

Sweden is closer to a definition of socialist.

Russia doesn't really take care of its people -- the rich business overlords run the country. In many ways modern Russia is more comparable to the way America was during the Gilded Age.

Nov 03, 08 - 04:55 pm Comment from: 1,000 employee business owner

If Obama gets in and raises my taxes (including capital gains) I will fire employees in order to maintain my standard of living.

In effect - taxing the "rich" means taxing everyone but the "rich." We will continue to live the good life. Don't you worry about us.

The rest of you underachievers can frequent the bread lines for all I care. I'll be on my yacht if you need me.

Obama will take a struggling economy and kill it.

Because of my own hard work (not taking from others) I have more than enough cash for several generations to live very, very comfortable lives.

Nov 03, 08 - 04:57 pm Comment from: KingMel

Surely there is a functional, moderate compromise in here somewhere... After all, you can't cut taxes towards zero in hopes that tax revenue will soar towards infinity, nor can the government provide every service for "free" that anyone might want. Let's get practical and actually solve some problems.

- Reduce spending by trimming unnecessary programs and figuring out how to provide key services more efficiently
- Match revenue (taxation) to spending to balance things out
- Develop a national program that combines practical fossil fuel development with a strong push for conservation/efficiency and multiple forms of alternative energy (hydro, solar, wind, wave, geothermal, and nuclear).

I'd like to visit with Medvedev, perhaps on an airplane trip, long enough to discuss how he goes about using that Mac Pro. He's likely as on top of his machine as I am on mine.

And, I'm just guessing here, that absolute beauty sitting beside him has one purpose, to make sure that Mac Pro works as her boss thinks it should. (Can you just imagine the extent of her role as she attempts to aggregate his daily needs into that one small machine?)

There's a huge human interest story here. Will someone qualified please (Пожалуйста!) attend to this reporting task?

McCAIN CAMPAIGN MEMO: READING THE EXIT POLLS
Mon Nov 03 2008 16:53:14 ET

As we have seen in previous election cycles, the exit poll results do leak early and that ends up influencing the coverage of the race before even the first state polls close at 6:00 PM Eastern.

However, we want to remind the campaign that the media’s own post-election study of the exit polls in 2004 showed that the exit polls overstate the Democratic candidate’s support. Therefore, we would discourage a rush to judgment based on the exit polls and wait until there has been a representative sampling of actual tabulated results from a variety of counties and precincts in a state.

Here are the key points to keep in mind when the exit poll data starts being leaked:

1. Historically, exit polls have tended to overstate the Democratic vote.

2. The exit polls are likely to overstate the Obama vote because Obama voters are more likely to participate in the exit poll.

3. The exit polls have tended to skew most Democratic in years where there is high turnout and high vote interest like in 1992 and 2004.

4. It is not just the national exit poll that skews Democratic, but each of the state exit polls also suffers from the same Democratic leanings.

5. The results of the exit polls are also influenced by the demographics of the voters who conduct the exit polls.

After the 2004 election, the National Election Pool completed a study investigating why the exit polls that year showed John Kerry over performing 5.5 net points better than the actual results showed him to have done. Their conclusion was that the primary reason the exit polls was that Kerry voters and Democrats were more likely to participate in the exit polls.

“Our investigation of the differences between the exit poll estimates and the actual vote count point to one primary reason: in a number of precincts a higher than average Within Precinct Error most likely due to Kerry voters participating in the exit polls at a higher rate than Bush voters. There has been partisan overstatements in previous elections, more often overstating the Democrat, but occasionally overstating the Republican.

We believe that this will hold true this year. The recent Fox News survey showed that 46% of Obama voters said they were very likely to participate in the exit polls, while just 35% of McCain supporters are.

In fact, even the 2004 exit poll report noted that higher turnout nationally and higher levels of voter interest in both 1992 and 2004 correlated with greater Within Precinct Error.

The overstating of the Democratic vote did not only occur in the national exit polls, but also occurred in the state exit polls. The 2004 exit poll report cited that the Kerry vote was overstated by more than one standard error in 26 states, while the Bush vote was overstated in just four states. So we should also expect the individual state exit polls on Tuesday to be more Democratic as well.

So given that turnout is expected to be even higher than 2004 and that Democrats are more likely to participate in the exit polls, this means we should expect greater fluctuation and variation in the exit polls from the actual election results.

The 2004 exit poll report also showed that the greatest error in the exit poll came in precincts where the interviewer was younger. The completion rates were lower and the refusal rates and Within Precinct Error was higher when the interviewers were under the age of 35.[6] Complicating this is that nearly half the interviewers were under the age of 35, including 35% who were 18-24 and another 15% were 25-34.

Conclusions

Based on the previous exit poll results, we should expect once again that Tuesday’s exit poll data could overstate the Obama vote and under represent the McCain vote.

It is important that the campaign make sure the media realizes this, so that when the exit polls do leak, people do not overreact to the early exit poll data. Rather than looking at the exit polls, we should wait until we start seeing actual election results from key precincts and counties to gauge who won the election.

I'm amazed and saddened how stupid the American people got in 60 years. WWII was absolutely "The Greatest Generation" - the generation who fought for freedom, liberty, and this nation.

2008's generation is willing to throw the entire country away. After tomorrow, the United State of America will no longer exist soon to replaced by the United Socialist States of America....

The free and the brave have been replaced by a nation of bums and pussies willing to wave the white flag and expecting to sit on their asses all day and receive handouts from working people.

You and your greed are part of the problem that has made America the "me" country instead of the "we" country. The constitution says "We the people..."

"I got mine, now you get yours." That's a load of bull. The problem with you greedy people is that you'll never understand the "we" thing. Your life has always been about you, that's all you can see and you can't see past it.

That's why capitalism is failing. All hail President Bush's socialist republic for saving the rich people!! (oops, and I almost forgot his henchmen Bernanke and Paulson.)

Look, you are just being an ass, your comments are not helping your position they are hurting it, in fact, I would almost wonder if you are actually a socialist who is lampooning a greedy bastard just to try and make a point.

Obama is for 'redistributing the wealth', he has said so himself. This is a socialist belief and is destructive. If you don't think so, just think of this, whoever you are you are probably making a good income, Obama will take a portion of that income and give it to whoever he pleases even though they did not earn it simply because the 'deserve' it more then you. If you don't think this will be a big deal, fine, then you better have a big smile on your face when someone takes 20% of your income and gives it to someone living off of welfare (not someone 'down on their luck' and trying to get better, but someone who is just fine living off of the welfare check for the rest of their lives, and if you think that is imposable I know several people, one related to me, who think this way).

I earned my money with hard work, and I intend to keep and use as much of it as possible for my own needs and goals. I am not selfish, I am not buying gold-plated watches or spending money just to spend it, I am trying to make the most of what I have.

I too work very hard and I'm already well on my way to being as rich as you. Love having the private chef and the large yacht, but man I envy that private physician. I just can't bring myself to have to pay for his malpractice insurance.

Anyway, we ran the numbers and Obama just wouldn't be all that bad for me or my employees, of course, the MacK would be better from a taxing standpoint, but then what would we do with all those healthcare costs he wants to add to us?

Plus, I get the feeling that Obama would be more open to additional visas for foreign workers, something that none of the Reps would be caught dead supporting. Can you say, more cheap foreign labor? I can!!!

I say we give the minority dude a shot and if he doesn't work out, we can just send him packing just like we did with them in 2000.

The way the Republicans are whining you'd think Obama was going to take all the white woman, make us all each fried chicken, and turn the USA into the People's Republic of America.

Give me a break Republicans, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. If you think your losing is the end of your world, go talk to a Cubs fan. They will teach you how to say: "Wait till next year."

One more thing, before Obama comes to take all your money and redistribute it, go buy some Macs and iPhones and iPods and AppleTVs. You know your money is much better spent on you than those "poor people."

Interesting....

No one is looking at the real problem:

Every dollar (fill in your particular country's currency) you receive from your bank was introduced into your "economy" with debt included. The money to pay the debt was introduced with debt included.

Let's look at the rule of nine's which states that you can lend out the first dollar in (from your central bank) - nine more times.

So that $750 000 000 000 bailout in the US is how much now?

And American citizens have to pay the interest and the interest on the interest with debt based money.

That isn't McCain's or Obama's "fault" BUT whomever becomes the puppet president (and if you think otherwise, you have no idea of what's going on) will inherit their share of the global problems.

Your ignorance regarding how the "economy" functions is why you are in the same old place that five generations have been before you. In fact, President Andrew Jackson was the last President who had the courage to fight the international banking cartel.

For those of you who think I am spouting "conspiracy theories" - you need to read - research and make up your mind rather than believe the BS that you have been handed by either party.

I am not a political supporter in the party sense. Never have been. I have always voted the man or woman based upon what I learned about them and their platform and their principles of integrity and support of the Constitution. Not based upon what they say, but on what they have done.

I have also learned that by observing the "small things" that a person does tells me of how they actually will handle all things.

My Dad taught me both of these ways to be.

I pity the people who are so filled with hate and fear that they cannot make a clear cogent decision based upon facts as they have researched them.

I pity the prejudice - prejudgement without actual definable documented facts - that is all to pervasive in this American election.

This isn't about opportunists, or welfare moms or bulldogs with lips stick or fictionalised POW experiences (and they were - do your research) or about community organisers or gender or race or sexual proclivity.

Subtle hint: McCain wanted Liberman to be his VP but (and I quote) "They wouldn't let me". Since when does someone else dictate who the running mate is of the potential president? (Always - since Teddy Roosevelt).

It is about one race - the human race. And we are allowing people who are never accountable nor held responsible to dictate how we live our lives and send our sons and daughters to die so that they can make more money.

Watch Zeitgeist and Zeitgeist Addendum (http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com) and you will understand BUT by the time you actually do it - you will have already been defeated for at least another four more years.

And it will not matter who won.

Good luck.

And Oh by the way - Uncle Remus - YOU ARE A PITIFUL HUMAN BEING!
