The reception is great all over the greater Tokyo area.

Softbank has the best plans and prices. This news made my day!

The Japanese technological and now mobile market has always set the highest standards and demands. To me, just the fact that a deal has been set means the new iPhone is up to par.

I was really hoping that they would go SoftBank as it really has a positive image in Japan right now... A lot of people are becoming curious about SoftBank and that they have the iPohne is one more reason to make the switch.

Conversely going with Docomo would be subtly swimming against the tide. Although I would't be suprosed if they ink with Docomo too. Docomo would be stupid not to. Apple already has it's bases covered with SoftBank I think - that's why they got this out first.

I thought that the voice system that the iPhone uses was not compatible in Japan? I know that Japan is one of the countries that the current iPhone will not work in just like you can't use it on Verizons network.
