The MBA is an ideal size. 13" screen is just big enough to multitask, but small enough to be mobile. And 3 pounds? Perfect.

If playing DVDs was what I wanted, I would have bought something else. The MBA serves its purpose for me - a light, powerful (enough) subnotebook for traveling around the world with.

That guy in the vid is a TOOL! Let's just say that the Air DID have a magic, weightless, DVD drive. He'd rather carry 60 DVDs than have 60 movies Ripped to his drive?!?

His other complaint - a dealbreaker!?! - is no Ethernet. He believes it's wrong for Apple to assume that he has WiFi. What an AssHat!

Then he says that, for the money, this Ultraportable should be able to double as a primary desktop.

The idiocy is unbelievable.

Is he a fscking idiot? you can set up any trackpad even the old ones to double click on an application..You don't have to press the little button..

Whose doing those Obama placements displayed on MDN. whether you are a supporter or not, from a total concept design point of view they are really, really good. They give me, an old glazed-over designer, whom has worked on campaign stuff over the years, the warm fuzzies. I will have to find out who they are.

The blokes a t*sser, but still gives the MBA 8/10, which is not so dusty.

The chick maxes one more to 9/10 which is even better.

So -- 8.5/10 which seems reasonable.

Every time I get to the store here in Vancouver, they have had some in stock and sold them right away.

Something like 400 have hit Vancouver stores so far and within minutes - all sold.

They called the MBA "your mistress" while your desktop is "your wife". Hilarious! I love the way Brits just assume that men cheat and have no hang ups about it. Just the way things are.

You don't need a drive for movies, get them from itunes.

We second class Apple citizens don't have iTune movie rental, not even an iTune Stores yet.

I just saw my first MBA in the flesh this weekend. Doesn't remotely meet my needs BUT, honestly, it is the most gorgeous laptop I've ever seen. It's not just light, it looks light. The MacBook Pros look obese now.

That makes the second lust-worthy member of the Apple line that I wish I had an need for... the first being the current iMac (no use for a desktop!)

And once again, people mock Apple's high style as frivolous... as if we bought cars, houses and appliances looking at tech specs!

I would sooooo love to be the first person in my neighborhood hanging out at coffee with a MBA.

The video is funny. The MacBook Air is like your mistress (not your wife). And the woman reviewer is the one you made that analogy. She gives a "naughty" 9 out of 10. These guys are like CNET, but more entertaining...
